It's the first purchase of this year and I thought I'd never get to have it. And it's such a deal. :) I'm so glad I got it. :)

Your Celine! So pretty.
And this is my 10th. :)

I never thought I'd like it this much. :) I mean it's a mistake my personal shopper did (she meant to get me another color, but somehow got this one. I'd just say boutique lighting play lots of influence on this issue.) Anyway, I took her and seriously, I didn't fall in love with it the first time I wore her out. She's too light for my liking. But I keep her coz I think she's beautiful. Somehow I really feel like I want to wear her last month so I did it and I love it! She's my surprise love this year. :) I'm just so happy I give her a chance and follow my instinct. :)

So happy to hear you fell in love with her! It's a pretty bag. I feel Dior looks best in light colors, or black.

I'm very happy, too. :) I'm not really into black bag, but this year, most of my buys (2 out of 3) are black. :graucho: I guess my inner self is trying to open my eyes to the new territory, :)

I really feel that although I buy very little this year, they're all a meaningful piece and very fulfilling. :)

I think Dior does their color the best. I find many of their combo so beautiful and tastefully put together. And the lamb skin is soft and quite durable. Sometimes, I wonder why it's not as popular as Chanel or Hermes. I mean the quality is also very good and their hardware is solid. I'm guessing maybe the design coz Chanel has many great designs and Hermes has their own way of doing things. I just want them to have more ground.

I think they take a little long to have new styles. I always think of the Lady Dior, their classic hand held bag. For awhile they never had anything new. Plus they have a hard to use website so getting info is difficult. Also, not many people simply wear Dior, whether tpf, people on the street, or celebs. It's not as noticeable either, not like the Chanel CC or the Hermes shapes.

I hope they gain more ground, they seem to have excellent quality in comparison to brands who carry similar styles.

I think they have new style very often, but everything new is seasonal. They don't keep their bags on shelf for long. And they don't tell customers when is the cut off date. It's hard for customers to decide when they don't know the time. I mean often, I will think "oh... this is a new design. I like it, but I'm not yet ready to buy it now. Maybe I'll save up and wait a bit longer." But then, it's only get offered that one season. And now it's gone. I can only think "well, it's gone. I'll just wait for the next thing then." With Chanel, I know it's only available this season so if I want it, I'll have to decide now. It's now or never for them. I don't know how Dior justify when to cut their bags off. Everything is a mystery. Also, the PR and advertising (aka communication) are quite weak. Chanel is very strong on these aspects, I think. They feature lots of their seasonal pieces on their ad and many of the seasonal flaps is technically just a spin off or the play on classic flap, while Dior's seasonal bag is a whole new bag entirely and they, most of the time, just put on the Lad Dior on the ad. It's just different. They'll say this is a new bag and they will keep it as a classic along side Lady Dior, but then a couple years or only a couple seasons later, they'll just kill it off, without telling people. Besides, many new designs are introduced very quietly to the market. It's just too hard. Without the folks at Dior sub-forum, I wouldn't know a thing. Their quality is great though. I can vouch for that. :)

I remember you joined this thread soon after you got your Celine. It has a special story to it, makes the bag even more pretty!

And of course I love your Dior!

My Day 9 - my leather wallet. I loyally use just one wallet for years. Changed into this this year. My sister doesn't have good words for the color, but I really love this! Smells so leathery good 'til now. Sometimes before I put her back inside my bag, I'd take a sniff first. Do you do that or it's just me? [emoji6]

I think it is elegant. Yes I love the smell of good leather too.

That leather must smell lovely! It's a very classic looking wallet, those colors will match just about anything.

Today's bag is Speedy 30!
yay Speedy! :speedy:

Picked up a leather MK backpack today to wear when I carry my iPad or Mac with me. It has a separate soft area to hold it stable. Since I did not want to end up with equal in as I have going out, I texted a friend of mine who was eyeing my tan backpack and I gave her a great deal in it. She will stop by tomorrow to get it. My Julian is great but it is a bit to floppy for when I carry my tech stuff and to small.
