Looks great with your outfit!
Thanks!

I have not really thought about it much yet . I think it will be to think a lot before I make a purchase and try to purchase in person where ever possible.
I should learn the second one you mentioned! I buy a lot online and sometimes I am not happy with it when I get it. But how can I return, I'm from far away!!

Very pretty with your outfit and a great size too.
Thanks! I agree on the size.

Actually there is Eehlers, Lou And Amour that have the Julian. Eehlers was going to sell hers till she actually started using it to test it out and then she was pleasantly surprised and kept it.
Oh yes, how can I miss that! 4 ladies with Julian, yay!

I love your Starbucks mug collection! So awesome!!
London has mini mugs!

Hope he gets some sleep! It's hard when you're so busy!

And that's what I was thinking, we wouldn't have to worry about forgetting something or if anything tumbles out. At the very least my most important things are on me with my WOC.

dcooney and LVintage_LVoe - Thank you! It is great little cross body.

These are very pretty mugs!

Thanks bake and tuuli! :)

Still at mall but I took a quick picture.

Haha, congrats! I think you've been eyeing this since Lou and Amour got theirs, right?

Haha! I was just reading your post asking our thoughts on the Julian then next post said you bought it! Big congrats for finally having her. It's beautiful!

It's so cute! I love the mini MAC bag fob in bright fuchsia! I am eyeing the mini Ava wallet as an alternative to the zippy coin purse (not to be confused with the zippy compact NM wallet I just told you guys about) and this mini mini MAC happened! *Confusion going on in my head now*:cray:

I wore my red MJ 54 Monday to Wednesday. Then switched to the Christian Dior Maris Pearl on Thursday for a more conservative meeting (the red of MJ is too loud for it). Today, Friday, it is still this CD. [emoji7]

Love the whole ensemble! :)

Ladies, are you already thinking what your 2016 bag resolution will be? I won't ask yet what it will be. Just wondering if you're pondering on it. I am! :smile1:

Yep, I have :)

And I'm just curious because I remember you posting a pic of your Massaccesi Zhoe(?) at a Senate deliberation.. Will you be attending one of the APEC meetings here? And if so, what bag do you plan to bring? It's such a formal event.

Hi guys! Finally I'm back!!! I MISS YOU ALL!!! :tender:

I don't know where to start and I haven't read any posts yet as I want to say Hello first to everyone here. I've been MIA for just a little over a month but it felt like forever. Anyway, I owe some of you with replies regarding my last posts, and I will be doing that in a while. Let me just share why I was MIA for the past month.

The reason was I got a full-time online job as a web researcher. I was happy about it because finally after 9 years of being a SAHM, I was doing "office work" again, in the convenience of my own home. The starting pay was ok and it will increase over time (like the usual). BUT since I was new to the job, I spent the whole day working and found little to no time to take care of my kids especially DD (who's 3 years old). I even work overtime! I felt guilty about it. I know over time I will be able to master my skills and be faster in doing the tasks assigned for the day but then I thought, my kids need me more than anyone else especially now that they are in their formative years (DS is in Grade 1 now). And so, after carefully thinking things over, I decided to let go of my job but I told myself that I will search for a new one but it should just be part-time or an hourly rate job. At first, I thought I was going to regret it but when I was back on spending my day preparing my DS for school, playing with and teaching my DD, running errands at any time of the day on a weekday, and having some more free time to do other things, I was sure that I made the right decision. A new job will surely come my way but I won't be able to turn back the time to the days I missed out being with my kids when they needed me the most. (Of course, I'm just speaking for myself. To each his/her own). And so I'm back! :yahoo:

So... as for the comments made on my last post about my mini bags, thank you so much for all the nice comments especially on the Furla and Ungaro bags. Also, to those who I owe pictures of the bag and wallet that my cousin (from Dubai) gifted me, I'll share the pictures shortly. They are not designer brands but nevertheless looks good (at least to me ;)) and functional. I used the bag like 2 weeks straight and I've been using the wallet until now. And I'm happy to report that in the past month I was not active here, I've just been shopping my own closet, been rotating my bags and wallets and have uncovered an old bag which I've totally forgotten about. I sold a small bag (it was just a cheapo one but at least I got rid of it) and I'm hopeful to list more bags and make sales before Christmas.

Now, I'm excited to read what you all have been posting! :amuse:

Here are my cousin's "pasalubong" for me: (I took the photos a month ago but never got the chance to post them.)

I'm unsure what they call the bag's cloth material. I think it looks best worn during summer days.

Then the wallet, Tchibo medium leather wallet (French wallet style):

Its package says it's a German brand (but I think not necessarily German-made) but it smells sooo good until now that it's been with me for over a month! I've never had a leather bag or wallet that smells sweet! No kidding! It has tons of card slots which I love! If only LV will make a French Wallet NM just like this, I would buy it! :D

The 2 together:

And here's the bag I've "unearthed" while cleaning up. It's a Rafē New York leather bag I bought pre-loved from a friend. I love its hardware. That made me buy it. But I'm actually contemplating if I should just sell it since it's a top handle and you know me, not really a top handle kind of gal :)

Welcome back!!!! I'm with you on the working mom and younger kids. Take your time. I wish I could spend more time with DD, too. :)

I like your wallet and the Rafe bag! That wallet seems to have great organization and that Rafe bag is beautiful. I hope you fall in love with it again before send it away. ;)

Thanks bake and tuuli! :)

Haha! I was just reading your post asking our thoughts on the Julian then next post said you bought it! Big congrats for finally having her. It's beautiful!

When I first wrote asking about all your thoughts I had asked the girl to hold it for me for a short time. I was hoping someone was online to sort of shop with me ,but when I checked the other store that sells Rm they were out of the bucket in store and the Julian they had left was in rough shape. So I went back to the other store and all their Julians were the huge pebble leather or super light colors all the others were sold out since they were having 25% off. So I decided to grab it. I have been eyeing it for months now. We drove over an hour and a half to get there and it was so worth it. Though my dh said the photo I took of it looks like a big Butt. Oh Men!

It's been crazy pouring rain here so taking that opportunity to turn my frown upside down with some tokidoki and weather appropriate nylon from lesportsac. I usually carry these for weekends and travel as they aren't too suitable for the office haha

Wow! This is the bag I was hunting so bad when it came out! We didn't get it here though. :( You are so lucky!!!! Wear it in good health! I'm so glad people still love it. And wow! It still look like new!

Been up early as I drove DS to school and went early morning Christmas shopping for my coffee addict family members [emoji477]️[emoji477]️[emoji477]️. I bought my Coach pebbled ziparound wallet, perfect grab and go as it can also house my mobile phone.

It was also raining quite a bit here. Good thing I had a good breakfast to keep me happy despite the rain [emoji4]

I enjoyed using this today! Sorry for another pic. [emoji7]

You look so good in this photo! That bag is fierce!

Just want to share what I shopped in my closet today before I go out and about:

MJ Stella and Tchibo french wallet from my cousin. They match! [emoji7]

Yay! So happy to see a Stella!

Here is the little canvas bag my Dad picked up for me . I think it will fit a small water bottle, paper back, granola bars , my glasses , phone and a small wallet. It has two slip pockets outside under the flap and a zip pocket on the flap. I think it will make a good sport events bag.

It's a cute little bag. Look like it's going to be tough. :)

Hey TPFers! I'm new here.

And like a few of the newbies here, I went a little bag crazy after joining TPF. I am just recovering after a massive bag shopping craze that lasted around 3 months and drained all my shopping funds... So I guess I'm on a bag ban! Yay! :faint:

Is this the bag ban corner of the forum? 'Cause I need some support... :shame:

Welcome to join us! You set your goal and we promise we'll help encouraging you through it. ;)

Well ladies, have a horror story to tell all of you.
Remember my latest bag? Turns out it's fake (high grade one)[emoji37]
Good thing is the seller immediately refunded me. I believe she didn't know either.
The bad news is that I don't think I will ever find one in that great condition at that price[emoji25][emoji29]
So after much thinking and discussing with my sister and DH, tweaked my list and am now happy with how things turned out.
Sure it sucked big time that the bag was a bust but it was probably for the best as DA occasionally turns yellowish after some time and I intend to use the bag for years to come.
I also found another cross body to fill the niche left by the Speedy B.
It came yesterday and I [emoji173]️ it!!

View attachment 3183448

Another thing I discovered is that I absolutely love the Speedy B. So I will definitely be purchasing one but in another print and this time, most likely new as to avoid another disappointment.

I'm sorry to hear that. :( You've put in so much effort into all the waiting and everything. :( Anyway, I'm glad to hear that the seller refunded you right away and that you've found a new love. The color looks so bright and the leather looks very good!

I really want to enable you on getting the speedy B style. [emoji16] I love mine! [emoji16] If the wide horn's still in production, I'd cheer you on that. But then again, there're so many brands that offer this style. Maybe you can find the right one for you soon. Gucci? ;)

.

Ohh!! It's almost Christmas time (though for everyone outside the US, it pretty much is Christmas, right?) Let's share our Christmas trees again! I have a bunch of ornaments I bought from my trip last year that I totally want to share, on top of the ones I made from the designer boxes!

We have a very small tree in our room just so DD can decorate it. [emoji16] It's not as glam as yours though. We're not Christian so we take the season very lightly like celebrating just for fun. I did went to christian school when I was young though and I love Christmas and the spirit of it. One year about this time, I was on the magnificent miles in Chicago and there was this guy playing saxophone in front of the Crate and Barrel store. The scene was beautiful and he was really good. I stood there for a long time listening to his music and ended up buying his CD. :) And I love the old-time animation TV special especially those still-life ones.

And yes, it's beginning to feel like Christmas here in our country. I think many know that we celebrate Christmas rather super early than any nation in the world, lol! Here's our tree [emoji319], which was already set up since last week of October. My auntie from Dubai (who's staying with us til January) was the eager beaver and she set it up even before All Saint's Day! But my kids and my 2 year old nephew were so happy about it! [emoji1] And no gifts yet under the tree as those 3 little rascals will open them up right after I place them there for sure! [emoji320][emoji320][emoji320]

View attachment 3184494

I'm excited to see everyone else's Christmas trees!!! :D

We don't have the big one, but I'll definitely put it here. I have DD decorate one every year. It's just a special event for her. :)

!

I love traveling. Food, sights to see, no need to do my laundry or clean my room, and of course, the shopping! lol

I'll definitely be updating you guys on my trip, especially in my search. I'll try to post more photos this time of London as well as my bags. :D

.

Even just from reading, I start to like your trip even more! Please post lots of photo. I won't be travel so much this year anymore. I really love to see snow shot and all the decoration. :)

Yes, the NM will come out in DE next year so that's really bothering me. I just got overly excited because of the price. If you buy the NM here in Manila today, it costs almost 530 euros! I called up the store 3 days ago. Can you imagine that? It's crazy!

Thanks for the Christmas tree love :smile1: We do have the same ornaments since we moved in this house 8 years ago but I never get tired of the look.

And oh, you must be talking about the "parol" :) We have one (the modern one made of capiz shells and with lights) placed high up in front of our garage but the lights are busted (need to replace the lights or just buy a new one).

We have traditional parols like so:
View attachment 3184502

And the modern ones:
View attachment 3184503

The modern ones are quite pricey depending on the size, materials and on how intricate the details are. Ours is just a small one and I think we bought it for less than USD50. But we bought it in Pampanga, the province where most of these originate. Maybe that's the reason it's cheaper than Manila prices. I do hope when you get to spend vacation here, you can buy even a small one because they're really pretty, so Christmas-y! :rockettes:

Those ornaments are indeed so colorful!!!

Did I share my bag of the week yet?

Sorry if I repeat this picture here lol.

Carrying my Bally Bernina tote. It's massive. It fits my coat when it gets hot in the afternoon so it's working out for me. I may carry it more this month and not wear my Speedy B which would be difficult with my coat.

I like this bag of yours. :)

I have been wearing my Libaire backpack most of the week.

Wow! The leather on this backpack look really good!

I'm feeling amused this morning. Been talking to a friend about a thread I posted a few years back on a financial forum about when it's OK to buy a $200 purse. Now I'm thinking if only I was spending just $200 on a purse!

How things change over time. :) I'm with you on this. ;)

It is wonderful sunny day here and I using my recent impulse EBay buy. It's by Gigi New York.
View attachment 3184699

That's a cute bag. :)

Thanks dc! :D I'm actually contemplating on revamping this tree (well, for next year) and thinking of replacing the bears with my MsDonald's Hello Kitty plushies. I've collected all but one from year 2000. They are not big stuff toys so I think the tree can carry them :xtree:

I miss seeing your Bally tote! My DH thinks the same way as you do. He likes to dump everything in one huge eco bag than carry lots of small shopping bags. It also saves you for losing stuff when you put them all down on the floor or seat for a quick stop or when you're in another shop.

Oooohhh, London tumbler!!! I will have to let DH buy me a Starbucks London mug if/when they get a port call there to add to my collection. So far I still only have 4 mugs from his last ship. Today he was not able to go ashore port Xiamen in China where he's supposed to buy me a Starbucks Xiamen mug (we were there a year ago I think). He's so busy he doesn't even have a decent sleep yet. And he'll have to replace my Hong Kong mug. A strong wind knocked its paper bag off from the top of his luggage and bam! it was in pieces. I just glued them back and will throw this one out when its replacement comes.

Here's the design of the 2 white mugs from Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Busan, S. Korea:

Thanks for letting me share non-bag stuff :D

I like those white ones! :) And definitely! The Hello Kitty McDonald's plushies is a must! I'd love to swoon over it, too! I love them, but always too slow to collect. :) Please do it and share the photo. It must be super cute! ;)

Still at mall but I took a quick picture.

Yay! Finally!!!! :)

Ladies, are you already thinking what your 2016 bag resolution will be? I won't ask yet what it will be. Just wondering if you're pondering on it. I am! :smile1:

I'm thinking whether or not I should go forward with the no-buy for the first 6 months. I don't feel strongly that I need anything. Of course, there're something that catch my eyes, but I'm not going to run out and buy it tomorrow. Everything can wait. That's what I feel right now. But, what if something really happen, I don't want to break it either. I broke my quota every year and this year is no exception. That's what I'm not really proud of. However, I'm much happier than before so I guess that's a good sign. Im not wallowing in guilt, but still keep buying anymore. I feel more contented. One thing I'm sure is that I still want to set a quota for next year again. I'm thinking 2 bags just like this year. I really don't know why I need anymore bags after I did all the exercises, but well, I guess stress bag/cloth shopping is kind of my habit now and it's hard to break. I'm trying to break it. :) Slowly, but hopefully surely. :)

I wore my red MJ 54 Monday to Wednesday. Then switched to the Christian Dior Maris Pearl on Thursday for a more conservative meeting (the red of MJ is too loud for it). Today, Friday, it is still this CD. [emoji7]
