I have 4 prong and wish I would have got the 6. My MIL has the 6 and they are beautiful. In white gold the extra gold adds sparkle in my opinion based on comparing hers with mine... and my stones are a better color/clarity. They are also 1ct each stone...2ctw.

I have 4 prongs, and it bugs me when they don't sit squarely, I fiddle with them a lot to straighten them out. I wish I had gotten 6, although it doesn't seem very common for studs.

It really depends on what you like. Mine are the basket setting with 4 prongs. Mostly because the piercing in my ears made the martini setting look weird. Make sure you try them on before you make a final decision. Good luck!

3! I guess of the 2 choices I'd choose less metal, so 4. but Mine are 3 prong martinis and I love them.

Agreed. I like 3 prong martinis for studs.

My preference is 3 as well, though if I had to choose between 4 and 6, I'd choose 4.

I like 3 prongs as well!

You could do 4 prongs but do a double prong for something different:

Hard time finding a photo but you'll get the idea from this ring pic:

3 prong martinis for sure!!
Go with the 3 prong martini...the less gold the more light saturation/sparkle.
As someone suggested try a pair on beforehand if you can.

I like the look of 6 prongs because it isn't as common as 4 prong styles. 3 prong martini studs are usually pointy at the base. This could be something you should consider if you wear your earrings tight to avoid studs looking droopy on your ears.
