NO, completely different materialObviously, it's not going to be as hardy as coated canvas and choose fabrics wisely that it will rub against, but it won't be prone to rubbing/ fraying in the same way as the original sig fabric woven fabric..
In the 1980s there was sometimes a problem with runs to the Flora pattern and dye as people decided to wash the canvas with soap & water. If this is a newer one the dye is fast.

I know the white background will be prone to color transfer if i am not careful, but the fraying bit was worrisome .....i am at ease now, thank u
