1854 speedy or NF?

1854 speedies come with extra long straps. I'm 5'4", and the shortest setting makes the strap end/bag start past the bottom of butt. My SA is 5'7"-5'8", and the shortest setting is also too long on her. This isn't a "oh i'm tall, it will be ok," situation, unless you're minimum 6' with a very long torso. The straps are not the advertised length, and it bothers me that no one cares to update the product description.

All that aside, I bought the bordeaux speedy and wear it with my black 1854 bandouliere strap. I'm happy with it. The 1854 speedy doesn't sag as much as canvas imo, so I think it's ideal if you're someone that doesn't like using shapers/organizers.

Depending on how you organize your bag, speedy 25 will either be fine or too small. If you use a shaper, you will lose a lot of space. I organize my things in pouches. I can fit two pouches, a coin purse, compact wallet, car keys (6" teddy bear key chain), phone, epi pen, and even a mini dress (was returning a dress on a shopping trip lol). Still had plenty space to easily zip it up. If you usually fill a nevefull to the top, 25 may be too small.

With the material being jacquard, would you realistically use the bag often, even if it were neverfull? If not, then I would get speedy, since you have a neverfull you use a lot. If you know you want a "fancy" neverfull, then get the neverfull.
Do you use it often? I’m worried I won’t due to the fabric. Now I’m debating on the speedy b 30 because I can get
More use out of it.

Speedy, no. On the go, yes. Both bags are 1854, with speedy in bordeaux and on the go in black.

I live in a suburban area, and drive myself around. I don't need to worry about other people's potential accidents around my things on a day to day basis. I'm pretty bad at getting my car washed in winter, and both bags, on the go especially, have had brush ups against a dirty winter car. Neither of them ended up with dirt or rips.

I don't really change my jewelry-wearing habits for either bag. I don't wear a lot of jewelry on my hands and wrists. If you're someone who loves to stack rings and bracelets with "sharp" edges (like lots of stones with prong settings), you might have issues with snags. The most I do is two rings, and two bracelets.

I've used both bags in snow and light rain. No issues with wet bags, not drying, or potentially smelling. I wouldn't use any of them in a downpour.

I wouldn't say I baby my bags, so much as I try to be careful and clean as much as possible, in general. I'm the kind of person that won't order anything with tomato sauce or red wine if I'm wearing something light-colored.

If you don't like the idea of a bag changing how you will interact with the world that day, but you want the bag to remain "perfect," then I don't think 1854 is for you. If you are ok with a bag showing wear and tear, 1854 is fine. If you're willing to put in the effort to maintain bags like the 1854 collection, then it's fine.
