I don't know what exactly did Courtney Love do to get so much hate from the USA, but I always thought of her as a woman with drug problems whose young husband committed suicide. In my humble opinion, it must not have been easy for her to cope with her loss, her drug addiction and a small child, and I really never felt like judging her too harshly for her antics, as I don't know just how fast my so-called sanity would fly out of the window if I lost my DH.
Just my two cents, we're talking about her daughter after all; speaking of which, Frances Bean looks remarkably normal, fresh faced and healthy, which is more that we can say for sons and daughters of celebrities considered "wholesome".

Courtney Love has always been a train wreck even before she met and married Cobain and don't think she'll ever change. But Frances on the other hand seems like she has it more together. Plus she is cute and I can kind of see why Lagerfeld would want her for the ads (she comes from a famous family and her mother is infamous) and that would bring a lot of attention to the brand.
Personally, I think having young stars as models for this brand takes away from the sophistication and classiness of its image. I know they are probably trying to appeal to the younger demographic and perhaps trying to make the entire brand appear more youthful, but I think having teenagers as models just kills the image.
Seriously.
Its a slap in the face for people over 20 that they want to us to buy Chanel products being modeled by a 15 yr old. I'm very disappointed. As far as her looks, since she's only a child I won't go there.

I guess you would have to know Courtney. She's a little off-balance with or without drugs. I know 2 guys that have dated her before Kurt. She can be very vicious and self destructive. The reputation came with a reason. She has gotten her life together and is still struggling with addiction but so are alot of people. Her personality will always need work. Thats what gets her in trouble.
