Ame, do you happen to know if BGD will re-set other vendor's stones? I have a pair of small stones (from that other vendor!) that I want to re-set and am looking for someone to do it.

They will assuming the stone can be safely set. There's a setting fee based on the size and specs of the stone. The stone(s) must have paperwork, as I understand it--but clarify that.
