But I had to choose between bonus or the watch, and I choose the bonus. I should have taken the watch, it was worth more.......

Just to clarify - the GC is FULLY TRANSFERABLE.

There is a number on the back of it but it doesn't affect your ability to redeem it - I used one thanks to a fellow PFer and there is nothing on the certificate or accompanying letter that states you cannot pass it onto someone else.

Hope this helps anyone who is wanting to use a friend's certificate.

Is this only in the states? Im not from here and I buy a lot of cartier and I never got anything :shrugs: no fair if I get the ring I want on my avator the extra cash will be a lot then, Im going to call them tomorrow

From what I can tell, the certificates were only issued in the US but are valid across North America. (I was able to use one in Canada). If you're outside this area, I think you're out of luck.

Just FYI, my SA in the South Coast Plaza store in SoCal told me yesterday that the "valid through" date has been extended 'til the end of January. The certificates as sent say they are good thru January 19, 2009. If you're contemplating using the certificate, I'd be sure to double check with your local store.

wow.. im shocked. i was told when i called that it was not transferable.

I was in Cartier on Saturday. The SA said that they had a couple more certificates/coupons with the manager. They're valid until end of this month. I can't do it right now (my WG Love bracelet) but do you think with the economy and everything, they would offer these coupons again? I was told by SA that this was first time they ever had $1000 off of a $5000 purchase.
