The Longchamp Le Pilage bag- I don't understand a bag essentially made of nylon with itty bits of leather became so popular, especially with professional working women.

I am really horrible with different styles of bags. But I live in Northern VA.

- LV the popular canvas one. Different styles. A lot more people are carrying around the different style than the famous (and most copied) Neverfull one. (The darker checked pattern, the different shapes.) The incomes here are higher, and I also browse the Galleria Mall (mostly because of Anthro). So I tend to think that many people around here can afford one.

- Coach. Most recognizable are the logo bags. I assume probably from the Outlet. I haven't seen too many of that cute Sabrina bag that people online were raving about.

- I am seing a lot more Michael Kors bags too. And it's more than the one that is like the Hermes bag.

- Vera Bradley. It seems to be either kids (teenagers or college students) or older ladies that carry them.

ALSO: Sioux Falls, SD is notorious for the 10-year olds with Vera Bradley backpacks, they are everywhere!!!

I went to a private college in a small town that was filled with mostly Caucasian kids with upper middle class parents. Every girl seemed to own one of those and a North Face fleece jacket.

I have never owned either one.

Tallahassee, Fl: we're kind of a split scene here, southern half is all college students, northern half is upper-middle class suburbia, so I see a wide variety of bags ranging from Vera Bradley and Coach to legit Louis Vuitton and beautiful Chanels. I've noticed a rise in popularity of Michael Kors and MbMJ bags, especially at college. Longchamp le Pliages are the go to bag however, but nylon Dooneys are popular too. I've seen one or two Linea Pelle, but I have yet to see Chloe or Givenchy or other lesser known high-end designers. I'm the only one I know with an RM right now.

1. Coach. It's sad because 99% of the ones I see are fake. What is even sadder is there is an outlet here with a decent selection. You can always get a bag for under $100 at least.

2. LV. Probably 100% fake. The guy at the mall selling fakes isn't helping!

3. Vera Bradley. Not as common as they used to be though

4. Kathy Van Zeeland. These aren't as popular either.

Coach is the biggie. I still love my Coach though.
