I live in New York City, Brooklyn, work in Soho.

(native New Yorker)

BK is all vintage Coach which I love, I don't do the C stuff but I love a nice plain leather bag, so many Hipsters carry the Willis so that's terribly annoying.

Soho, is Prada, EVERYWHERE. Followed closely by Bal and some Chanel.

I see a lot of LV but that's mostly midtown and it's irritating. Everyone carries the never full. My boyfriend works around grand central when I pick him up from work it's LV never full all over the Place. It's an ok bag but I'm not much of a LV fan, I had the bug for a bit, but I can't imagine paying that much for non leather.

I see a lot of Tom Ford, and Gucci but not as much as the ones listed above.

I completely understand seeing LV everywhere, that is why I didn't want a speedy or any of the really common bags. I got something else.

Strange to come across this thread as I was in London yesterday, near the London School of Economics area, and saw not one but three Hermes Birkin - red, black and a brown one. Then, on my way to the Waterloo station, saw two LV bags (Sistina and a Speedy).

I agree 100% with you. I personally own a speedy but that's because I was a teenager and it was my first designer bag. However I'm sick of seeing the monogram neverfull. Unfortunately it is the go to bag for majority of women in our area

Where I usually see people put their purses on display is when they go shopping. For me, that's at the King of Prussia mall here in PA. Like many of the other posters' experiences, I've seen a LOT of LV monograms and Damiers (mainly neverfulls with a few speedys sprinkled in) and coach monograms. I could literally make a drinking game out of spotting these three purses, but I'd be wasted within the first 5 minutes of entering a Neiman Marcus or Starbucks.

Same for me. I've seen a rise in MK too.

I live in downtown NYC, go to school on the UWS, and work in midtown. I see the Le Pliage everywhere, followed very, very closely by LV Neverfull. A lot of girls carry MbMJ too. I've seen a few Birkins, but it's mostly on the UWS or UES where people are wealthier. I've seen some Balenciaga as well, but not much.

funny you said that...because on my last visit to a Zara outlet, on a weekend, i spotted the following in the short time I was there
One Hermes Birkin
5 LVs
Couple of Coach bags
Couple Chanel shoppers
Not at the same time but in and out.
I was at the counter waiting forever for my exchange to be processed so couldnt quite help checking out the various purses. ;)

Haha I live in philly too and all I see is speedies, neverfulls, vernis almas. And the infamous Michael Kors embossed bags.

Yeah, it seems that the MK monograms are gaining popularity, right behind coach and LV. It's almost turning me into a little bit of a bag snob even though I own a Damier speedy and a BB check tote. That's why I've been moving towards the less conspicuous bags lately.
