Old version of veneta bag worth it now?

Congratulations on your decision to purchase a BV bag! It sounds like you have a clear idea of what you're looking for in terms of style and color.

As for whether it's worth spending the money on the older version with the smaller weave, that really depends on your personal preferences and priorities. The older version may have a more classic look that you prefer, but it may also be harder to find and potentially more expensive than the newer version.

That being said, if you're willing to pay full retail price for a new bag, it may be worth considering the older version if it's important to you. You may also want to consider looking for pre-owned options, as you may be able to find the older version at a lower cost.

Ultimately, it comes down to what you value most in a bag and how much you're willing to spend to get it. If the older version with the smaller weave is something you really want and you're willing to pay for it, then go for it! Just be sure to do your research and shop around to find the best option for you.
I respectfully disagree. The TM era bags are generally fairly reasonable, usually much less than the newer styles.

Cartier diamonds issue

LOL quite the image :) maybe I’m just scared of the juc with diamonds in general and I find it hard to stack with my yg love. Eventually I want the stack below and the wg diamond love is all I have left to get. Need to work up the courage to wear them all together! Have read too many stories of love screws getting loose stacking like this :( do you guys think this stack is too much? The juc wg with diamonds is also gorgeous...I just really love understated elegance

Burberry is Changing

It's from Burberry's Resort 2021.
Want. That.

That China shop is quite something too.

I have no clue what Burberry stands for right now, but I think the plaid has the potential to look more current in the next few seasons, that it has for a while, with all the 90s and that chav thing being relevant again. Let’s see where they go with that.

Is anyone else having problems with Tamara Mellon shoes?

I know I totally agree. You know when something keeps popping up in your IG feed. She’s the co-founder of Jimmy Choo not that that means anything but yes. I was on the waitlist for the Compass Wedge. Those are the ones the ankle literally needs 3 new holes. I bought the Sinner heel because it was so cool looking and only 3 inches. Literally they wobble. Then the third pair are flat zip up the back. I can’t even remember the name, but the zipper gets stuck. Again I never mind paying if I’ll wear it. I was just shocked because her shoes seemed to be everywhere this season. They are also supposedly Italian made and although shoes run like different. Normally Italian made shoes run big. Just wondering if I was the only one complaining. Thanks for the response.

New here; LouLou Puffer first bag?

Thank you! I went for the Small. I did even consider the Toy as well but keepign in mind what you said about only filling it 3/4 it wouldn't be big enough. I am often out with one or even two enormous hessian bags for groceries so my handbag is for essentials usually. My other use is for city visits where I like to walk a very long way, all day, and need a small bag so that I can't be tempted to put more in than I can comfortably lug around all day! I thought about a more robust grain de poudre leather but went for the puffer because the sporty styling suits me so much.
The white also looks great on you but maybe I'm influenced by all that marble flooring!

Recommendations for a Toronto area or Ontario Handbag Cleaning Shop?

Hi guys! Do any of you have personal experience with a handbag suede/leather repair/cleaning shop in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)? Or even Ontario? Maybe all of Canada as a last resort lol? I want to clean/repair my black Chloé Drew Bag in the suede/leather combination but am having trouble finding a reputable/trustworthy place to send it to. I have already contacted Chloé about repairs and recommendations but unfortunately, they cannot repair it nor can they offer any personal or company shop recommendations to me. So please help me if you can! I would also appreciate any Canadian accessible product recommendations you have to remove stains from suede and protect the leather (the suede is my main concern as it's most noticeable). Thanks in advance!

rene caovilla cleo sandals - keep sliding - help

I buy the clear/silicone insoles and put them in designer shoes. I have narrow feet so these are a staple for me, they‘re also in my Hermes Orans. They are removable without a trace but if you pull them off they could lift/ pull on the leather. I find after a certain time of wear they’re more easily removable, sometimes I have to move/adjust them a little. I’d say it’s less risky than having the straps tightened.

Cutting strapping is really risky unless you go to someone brilliant as you really have to take the shoe apart and if they make it too tight you’ve got a ruined shoe. I have someone wonderful and they’ve taken in several collection Pradas for me as well as switching out a kitten heel that I could no longer wear for a block heel but I remember once he was ready to throw me out as he did make a shoe too tight and had to redo the entire sandal but thankfully he nailed it the second time and had enough leather underneath to adjust. That kind of stuff really needs a specialist and not your average cobbler.

Does Hermes Practice Sexism?

Funny that I’ve never looked at it as sexist, but our relationship is mainly with me and not my wife. I agree with others that I think the SA’s like the romantic gesture of helping the man get the item for someone else.
agree with @cravin. i also think H SA enjoys when a couple shops together. DH and I like to shop in a single store with men’s ans women’s lines. Right now, that’s brunello cuchinelli. And, with covid boredom, we’re shopping quite a bit. When H Madison moves to the new location and combines men’s and women’s with home and jewelry under one roof, there is a good chance we will shop more.
