Craie RGH vs Gris Perle RGH/Gold Togo Birkin

get yourself something like a bastia or calvi in each colour - they are both on the website at the moment
then you can compare the real thing;
I understand how the colour can appear different on different skins
but I am sure the essential difference will be obvious;
if you look at a white wall with one eye closed and then swap over
is the 'white' the same through each eye.
With my eyes, in comparison, one is distinctly grey and the other cream - cold and warm
rather like gris perle (obviously a shade of grey - gris) and craie
Which tonal family will best suit you and your wardrobe?

Is there a way to fix silver colored hardware on a vintage bag?

I just purchased a vintage bottega veneta in just very very good condition. It’s such a cute little piece- the only wear you can see is on the closure. Is there a way to repaint it? Or did some one try to take anything of, so that the color is more even? I don’t think that BV can repair/ exchange the little thing. It’s way too old. I saw other bags on the secondary market and they all have alt least this issue 😃🤭. Thank you.

Cartier Love bracelet or Spinelli Kilcollin Ring

Hi @lill_canele, I went to the store today and ended up buying the ring lol. I had it custom made will be sharing when it arrives. Opted for a slightly bigger diamonds. I was told it will take around 5-6 weeks. The design makes it easier for me to appreciate mixing metals. I tend to go with yellow gold most of the time but I fell in the love with the piece I tried on. Love how it looked specially when being worn right next to my pave love ring and thin love ring.
Congratulations @mimingkat !

I look forward to pics of the ring when you receive it!
It’s definitely much edgier than a Love bangle (although I appreciate that you want to purchase that in the future).

Following your heart with jewellery is definitely the way to go..I’m a qualified gemmologist and used to work in High Jewellery in Bond Street, my speciality is fancy coloured diamonds but I’ve been collecting jewellery literally since birth(instead of toys lol)..

Panthere watch or JUC bracelet?

Since you already have a Cartier watch, I would personally go for the JUC. I got a JUC last week and am completely in love with it. I wear it with my Love and I do not plan on ever taking either of them off. The more I look at the JUC, the less bold it looks and I am really happy with how it looks stacked with my Love. I used to own the SM JUC and it was just too flimsy.

I got a Cartier Santos last year and have since retired my other watch (A TAG Heuer), which is a shame because I really loved my other watch. I think it you got another Cartier watch, your other would maybe sit there unworn?

If you go for the JUC, you will have a collection that you can constantly wear. I have worn it every day since I got it and when I catch a glimpse of it in a mirror or window, I don't think it's too loud or edgy, it shines beautifully, but it almost just blends in with my Love for me.

Is this mold inside my LV?

I just looked up those cases. They come with desiccant to absorb moisture from inside the case and the air flow is supposed to be from the two open handle holes on the side. It does not seem like an ideal way to store bags imo, especially if you’re not refreshing the desiccant from time to time. That desiccant is the “protection from humidity” not the acrylic.
Yes I always think storing shoes and bags in these acrylic boxes is a mistake

The ultimate burgundy/maroon shoulder bag

Yes, I think it's considered a smooth leather. Or at least a very fine grained leather.
I don't really have issues or concerns with wear and tear. I'm relatively new to smooth leather bags and that was a concern that held me back from buying them for years. But I took the plunge last year with this bag and haven't had any issues.

However, I'm not a particularly picky or detail oriented person and I do not baby my bags.
There are very minor scuffs on it but unless someone looked at it closely, they're not that noticeable to me.
This is one of the few bags I will not put on the ground (others I don't mind, especially if they have feet). That's my way of being more careful I guess lol.

I wear it pretty much whenever. It's not a go-to evening bag for more formal events. (would not take it to a red carpet, gala or evening wedding) But I will take it on a casual night out like dinner with friends or date with the husband depending on the restaurant and my outfit.
It is something you do kind of need to keep on your lap though (if there's no where to put it) and make sure it doesn't slip due to the smooth texture. But I have no problem leaving it on a chair next to me, hanging on a hook (some dining tables have that), or taking the more long "couch" benches to put it on.
Thank you for your detailed response, literally answered all my questions and doubts! I tried both on today and preferred the softer-grained leather, just cause it was comfier to wear and my SA said it's more durable. I might give it a shot with a smooth leather and get a Chanel lambskin cluth with chain. Still confused haaha but thanks for all the help!

Pochette Métis East West Choice

I tried both in store! If I didn’t already have a black empriente speedy 20 - I’d say go for the black empriente but the only other empriente that works for me is the bicolor turtledove and it was gorgeous - felt like butter and gorgeous interior. Price difference is so minimal that I wanted to love her but the mono had a hold on me. I also loved my SA he made a great point and said when I had them both on me, my eyes kept going to the mono. So … I brought her home!
Such a beautiful bag! Is this the smaller east west? I love how that bag looks but have concerns that it may be too small.

Celine 16

I just discovered photos of this bag. Are people buying and loving it? What about the natural leather one? Looks like Hermes barenia to me and I've read it seems to wear like barenia -- easily marked etc. Do you love yours?
Hi, there is a thread dedicated to the Celine Le 16 bag here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/celine-le-16-bag-by-hedi-slimane.997668/

Also i love the natural leather one, it's so beautiful, i imagine it will wear and age like barenia and require more care than the other types of leather.

Bonnie Cashin Carry ?? Value??

Hi and what a find. I don’t believe we are allowed to comment on value here. That being said, at the moment vintage Coach is hot! But the name of the style is the Hasp Bag. Do a search on the internet, selling sites and that will give you an idea of what people are selling it for. I am not exactly sure of the timeline but I believe late 60’s or early 70’s for the little metal tag. I am not sure if this style was attributed to Bonnie Cashin. It would not surprise me if others sellers say that. Just about every seller these days seems to claim their vintage Coach is a Bonnie Cashin design.
What a fabulous treasure, in my book! Until there are other replies, for more info, do a search of the Coach forum for Hasp
