Pope Francis has passed away at the age of 88

A beacon of light has been taken away from us. I know he was advanced in age and mortal, but still when the news broke out, I cannot even explain my sense of loss. We live in very dark times, and without him, I feel the world is even more bleak.

May he rest in peace. We thank him for all that he has done....

Jonathan Anderson confirmed as sole Dior's Creative Director

I love that suede cannage duffel bag in the light khaki green, except when I saw the pricing (10k SGD is really shocking to me for something so simple - maybe I’m too used to Loewe pricing).

I think the RTW is sophisticated but whimsical at the same time, but I really don’t understand how long coats and knits form an SS collection? Is it just me being a stickler about it or is it on trend to suffer in silence on warm months while donning these “summer” clothes?

Well Anthony Vaccarello's SL 2023 SS had these long full leather coats (and the shorter leather jackets) and it confused me as well.:lol:But hey, people loved it! (though most people did wear them in the fall/winter)
At least cloth makes a little more sense than leather for the summer lol.

She’s here….My mini Wicker Capucine Reveal/thoughts

Is the strap issue limited to the mini?

Overall I like the look and construction of the bb (handle to bag proportion, shape), but can’t get over how basket-like it looks. On my body the mini looks better than the bb.

I plan to use the bag as just a casual summer weekend shopping/dinner bag. I don’t carry a lot of things day to day, so I technically won’t utilize the capacity of the bb to the fullest, it’s just that with the mini I would have to go play a little tetris to fit everything, and getting in and out of the bag is more difficult due to less space being between the handle and flap.
I don't know if the strap issue extends to the BB. I haven't heard of it but it would be easy to test out.

I think the BB is a little large as a dinner bag. It felt more daytime to me due to size. Hence, I purchased the mini. It's such a cutie but you totally need to want it as the $$ are significant.

Love Ring vs Wedding Love Ring Sizing Difference

Hopefully this will somewhat help but you’ll have to do the conversion EU - US.

I wear a Love wedding band in size 48 (Cartier size) on my pinky. It’s a good snug fit, by all means not tight. Also tried wedding band 47 - wearable but tight, maybe in winter only - and 49 - quite loose needed an extra band on top of it.

When at Cartier’s purchasing the wedding band in size 48 I also tried the regular Love ring on my pinky in size 49 and thought it was comfortable/not loose, but felt a bit roomier in comparison to the wedding band in size 48. So I personally would stick to the same size for both wedding and regular Love. I don’t think sizing down would work for me in regular Love.

I also found that the size chart on Cartier website is pretty accurate for Trinity small vs wedding band - the sizes match for me - but not for other rings, I can’t follow the chart too closely.
Thank you so much. This has been extremely helpful! I feel more confident ordering the size 4 now. Thank you again!

Shiny calfskin mini 31

Sorry I meant shiny lambskin

I did wear a Crossbody but not for long periods of time. I have used this bag maybe 10 times at the most. I am wondering what it’s going to look like after they re-dye the edges? I was hoping someone could post pictures of their bag with this being done.
The wear is quite pronounced, simple dye is not going to fix it, it need to be filled then painted. It will look like new if fixed appropriately. But if you continue wear the way you wear it, it will happen again.

Stamp issue

Hi, so I just bought this used on Poshmark. I got a deal on it because it had some wear but I wanted a pretty bag I didn’t baby lol! First thing I did was get it authenticated. Authentic Detective and POIZON both say it’s fine. But the stamp is horrible. Like so so so so awful. Would you get it check by a different company? Or is this the norm for pebbled leather stamps? Someone mentioned it could be sloppy because it’s pebbled…not looking for an authentication for you all lol, I have a COA already saying it’s authentic, I’m honestly wondering if this is normal???

Wexford Leather

The Wexford feels lighter than the Florentine, of course that will depend on the
bag and the amount of leather and trim. The specs on the Dooney site for the same
bag (Tasha Drawstring) say the Wexford leather is 2 mm+ thick and the Florentine
is 1.6mm+ thick. That would seem to indicate that the Wexford bag would be heavier.
But it didn't seem so to me. So, I guess, I'd have to say.... about the same?
I think a lot will depend upon what you put into the bag. I've noticed that even smaller
bags appear heavier when all my junk is concentrated in a tiny bag. Put the same things
in a larger bag, and the weight is distributed differently.... except when that larger bag
is a large Flo satchel or a Clayton. The sheer size of those Florentine beauties just makes
them too heavy for me to carry these days. But, I have shoulder
issues.

Any new pendants and necklaces coming?

necklaces are my favorite type of jewelry. I agree with the others about the trinity range having some great options. I like to limit getting too many pendant necklaces as I like to layer and keep things cohesive.

I recently added the small clash necklace in yellow gold, I find that it goes well with my Van Cleef pieces as well. the santos chain is currently on my list.

I wish the ecrou had more options for necklaces.
