REVEAL! Long awaited stack addition!

Ever since I got my first YG love about 5 years ago, I’ve been dying to add to my stack. I’ve since reset my tennis bracelet, but knew i really wanted more Cartier. After a big year that included 2 promotions, one very big promotion to a director level, giving birth, many other work milestones, and my birthday (yesterday), I decided it was time! I KNEW i wanted to add the 4 diamond yellow gold love, but also debated the diamond JUC. We went to in last weekend, had a fabulous time having some champagne and trying on all the goodies. In the end, I went with my gut and added the 4 diamond YG and couldn’t be happier!!!

FASHIONPHILE sold my stolen items KNOWINGLY!!

I am writing this post to inform the general public and fellow luxury shoppers of my experience dealing with FASHIONPHILE and its employees in the last 6 months - also to inform you that the company has no morals or empathy and has knowingly sold stolen good.

To cut a long story short - My apartment was burglarized in February 2022. All of my designer items including Purses, SLGs, Shoes, Jewelry - Van Cleef & Arpels), Clothing, Watches and personal documents were stolen. This incident was reported to the police and well documented.

A few weeks later I was searching for items to rebuy to replace my stolen goods, this is when I discover MY items being sold on the FASHIONPHILE.COM website. The way i could confirm this was not only because of the unique marks due to wear on some of my bags but the SERIAL CODES matching my receipts for my Chanel purses and Van Cleef & Arpels Jewelry.

I immediately informed Fashionphile's Loss and Prevention Manager as well as its owners and the Police and shared evidence to all parties proving these items were mine. With the LAPD help they subpoenaed FASHIONPHILEs records and found that my items were sold by the same person / alias. FASHIONPHILE agreed to remove some, NOT ALL of my items off their website pending investigation. They were fully aware they were in possession of stolen goods.

Not only are they receiving stolen goods via mail without proper verification and authentication of the goods, they are not following THE LAW AND their protocols as outlined on their website: https://help.fashionphile.com/s/art...-prevent-stolen-merchandise-from-being-resold

Fast forward months later going back and forth between my lawyer, FASHIONPHILE and the LAPD - FASHIONPHILE agreed to only return my Chanel Purses and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry as they had unique 1 of 1 serial codes that matched by receipts. They refused to return my other items, mind you - they SOLD some of my items in the process KNOWING THEY ARE STOLEN as the police informed them & me showing ownership of these others purses, SLGs and jewelry.

This week - FASHIONPHILE agreed to resell back the 8 of the 28 items they had remaining at their Neiman Marcus BH location. I walk into the office with hopes i can negotiate on receiving back my items in goodwill due to the fact they have broken protocol and laws in the process of this case. They refused to negotiate and sold me back my items for the price they paid out the robber/seller.

Please let me know if you have experienced a similar matter with them or any advice you can give me. Also its very fishy - alot of their employees have been leaving lately.... anyone know whats going on internally?

Identify my mom's vintage bag

Hi all -

I just came back from visiting my mom and found one of her (vintage?) Louis bags. Other than some dust from sitting in her closet (WITHOUT A DUST COVER :wtf:) it's in amazing shape.

But this style - I've never seen it. I've only been collecting Louis for about 6 years but I've never seen this bag. Even here on all the various threads - this bag remains a mystery. I'm not concerned about autenticity - my mom would only ever by from the Louis site, Saks, or a LV store.

Anyone have any thoughts? Sorry I couldn't get more pics.

Please help me decide! (wedding jewelry!)

Hello Ladies,

I am in desperate need of your help/ opinion. I will try my best to keep the post short but forgive me if it becomes longer than intended.

I am getting married this November (12th to be exact) and while I have always thought VCA pieces were beautiful. My dear fiancé saw me looking at the VCA website and I quote “oh, do you want something from them? Is it like a Tiffany’s? Maybe you can pick something out for the wedding” I ALMOST DIED. Oh I know he didn’t see the price tags hahaha BUT! I am taking the chance ladies before he backs out! lol

I do not want to take advantage of my sweet fiancés generous offer. We are both just average Joes and while I know if I told him I want a 10 motif white gold mother of pearl necklace, he would probably find a way to get it for me, I don’t want to do that to him  . I really should be thankful he is offering to buy me a VCA piece for my wedding .

So here is my dilemma…

I do not own any YG jewelry pieces and all my jewelry is either WG or platinum. I am Asian American and have more yellow/ golden undertone in my skin so I feel like Gold will make me look more yellow? I have always loved the Alhambra collection ( oh how I wish there was a WG Guilloche pendant right about now) but Frivole collection is darling too and I think it would go well with my new dress (yes… I had to buy a new dress because the one I ordered is way too big on me now… :cursing: BUT I do love the new one as well!).

While this necklace will be a sentimental piece, I do really want to wear the necklace on a daily basis and just about all my clothes in the closet ranges in shades of black, grey, or dark navy (why do I keep on looking at the onyx And the vintage guillochoe yellow gold pendant?!?! Lol)

I am not a dainty gal by any means 5ft 7 and about 175… so I while I don’t want my necklace to take away from my wedding dress being too big/ flashy, I also don’t want it to look too small? If that makes any sense.

I am sure the Vintage Alhambra pendant with white mother of pearl would be the most ideal but I don’t know I can wear this on the daily and be careful not to get water or anything on the stone...

Oh- one more curve ball… my dearest mother decided to buy me a silver tiara to wear for the ceremony/day... :facepalm:I just couldn’t say no even though I am not the tiara type (only child here… her only chance she gets to be involved in any wedding lol) so I don’t know if YG would go with the overall esthetic? But I really do like the Alhambra collection and would love the pendant as a starter piece…

Should I go with the Frivole collection and get the mini pendent (WG) since it will match and maybe talk myself into getting the matching earrings? lol or go with the Alhambra even if it is YG?

Ladies, I am all over the place right now and I would really appreciate your help.

Please help this lost soul…

I live in So.Cal near South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island but I fear walking into the boutique/ booking an appointment to look around, they will make me feel a sort of a way since I don’t know any SA or anyone around me that has/ owns any VCA pieces. *sigh* I’ve had a couple of instances where I walk into a boutique to buy something and they just flat out ignore me because they just assume? I don’t have the money to buy something I guess? When they realize I am actually buying something they do a 180 and leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Sorry for being too lengthy- hopefully I didn’t confuse/ lose you all.

I am attaching a picture(s) of my dress and tiara so you can see what they all look like.
The tiara, I tried my best making it look like a headband than an actual tiara.

The full body shot of the model wearing the dress is not me (while I would love to be her size lol). I wanted to show you the back of the dress so you all get the full picture (silver/ crystal/beading).

Thank you so much in advance.

Any and ALL feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you Ladies!

Winter Travel Bag and Big Heavy Coat-Am I Overthinking This?

I have searched and I feel like an idiot, but I need a small crossbody for travel this winter in countries that will be cold/wet. The entire trip won't be cold/wet but about half will. My coat is quite puffy, large and warm. I would like a bag but just thinking of wearing a bag with this big puffy patagonia hooded down coat seems like it would be really annoying and hard to use. What bags do you all wear over your heavy coat? I think I have lived in a mild climate so long I am being stupid about this! Also any recs are so welcome. I am looking at the longchamp nylon camera crossbody. I am only looking at nylon so I don't have to worry about leather, but maybe I shouldn't rule out some bags-that their leather can take it? I am not a fan of logos. Just looking for something to hold phone, small wallet, glasses, lip stuff. So many thanks in advance! Edited to add: I have mild arthritis in both shoulders so I am looking for a very lightweight bag :)

Richemont sells Yoox Net-a-Porter Group to Farfetch

From the Financial Times - the tl;dr is this:

After "years of underperformance and heavy investment in YNAP", Richemont is getting out.

Farfetch will now own 47.5% of YNAP and is likely to purchase the rest. A minority stake was bought by Emirati fund Alabbar.

For those of us who shop at Net-a-Porter or Yoox, no way to tell yet if this will make the platforms better or worse, or if they will be rolled into Farfetch. Definitely a huge consolidation in luxury ecommerce.

Coach Outlet Disney Villains 2022

Does anyone have any information about the upcoming Disney × Coach Outlet Villain collaboration? I was told by an associate that Maleficent and Ursula will be featured and that it will be released somewhere between September and October. Does anyone have more information? Release date or featured items? Will there be leather teddy bear dolls?

21A copper mini reissue as an evening bag?

Hi ladies,

I came across this copper mini reissue on the resale market and I think it would be a great evening bag or even a day bag for monochrome outfits. What do you think of the color? I do not have any reissue bags yet on my collection and my collection consists of neutral colored bags so this copper color would be very new to me. What do you think? Appreciate your inputs! 49754B70-82D5-464E-A198-835267CA051D.jpeg1B146507-2655-47C5-9040-FF03E179E181.jpeg77ED6BD6-A2F6-4B12-947D-F757354ED521.jpeg

Perforated bag leather

Does anyone know what type of leather is used on the perforated PS bags? I can’t tell if it’s lamb or calf, and everywhere I’ve looked it’s only referred to as “leather”. I had a tiny awhile ago, and even though it was thicker and more structured that the smooshy, older lambskins, I could still tell it was lamb. This one, I just don’t know.

I have a small collection of pouches now. My new lovely:

Designing Handbag Care and Cleaning - Rago Brothers

Ladies,

I thought I should share a gem here. I live in NJ. I usually shop at the Short Hills Mal. Home of NM, Gucci, LV, Dolce, Fendi, Dior, Chanel, Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, Burberry, Prada. For repairs (sunglasses, bag fixes) I kept getting referred to a company called Rago Brothers (Morristown, NJ). I never bothered to find out more. Until the 3rd time I had my NEW Louboutins bottoms sealed by Neiman Marcus (so they NEVER scratch and the logo remains) and was finally told they were sent to RAGO Brothers for the sealing. AHAHA! Since then I have brought all my bag repairs directly to these guys. If your ever in-store you will see hundreds of shoes and bags sent from all over the country. I just dropped my 2021 Chanel Top Handle Silver Metallic bag there (worn 3 times) to have the now visible spots evicerated. I also dropped off my Louboutin for sealing ($50 sadly NM charges $150 and keeps the difference). While they cannot fix every single problem they can fix many issues. Including painting designer bags. They are a girls best friend!

Tips for a first-timer’s long trip to a boutique?

For those of you who know how this SA-client relationship works, how likely would I get an SA’s contact info for me to be notified in the future for my dream bags or SLG if I make very minimal purchase in my first boutique visit? Not because I don’t wanna spend the money, but purely lack of luck to encounter something I like…?

I live about two hours away from the nearest boutique so it’s really not easy for me to shop in store. Every trip requires planning for time (childcare drop off & pickup) and traveling (mainly parking), so I’ve been reluctant to even pick a day.

Now looks like it’s time and I’m finally going tomorrow!

I don’t expect myself to get anything on my wish list though since it’s all small bags, which I’ve heard it’s hard to come by. Maybe if the accessories feel nice enough I might spend the money, but that’s probably it…

Any suggestion? Thank you all in advance!:flowers:

Appropriate Time to Let Go

When is it an appropriate time to let go of bags that you are not using. I have googled and some websites say 6 months others say a year.

It is no secret that I have voiced here that I was at 42 bags and now I am down to 20. I just overall really love looking at my bags I do have and they are not high end luxury but I love looking at them nonetheless. That is just it, I am just looking at them.

Here is what I have20220806_110022.jpg

And this is what I carry. It is pretty much the only bag I carry because I like to be handsfree if I do go anywhere. I hardly ever leave my home so most of the time the bag just sits there. So there is not a lot of it being used and it is mostly being preserved. So I know it will last me a long time. 20220730_133428.jpg

I have tried searching for this topic. Thoughts?

Edit: I just want to add that I will be working on two degrees from home in the near future for the next several years. Plus, I am looking for a WFH job and I have an interview on Monday. If that helps with how I see my bags being used.

I'm thinking of buying a bracelet for Christmas. After going cray on the pave love bracelets last year, I want something simple, no diamond bracelets to add to my jewelry stack.
*No regular love bracelets for me anymore due to safety and security lock mechanism (that's another story)*

I'm eyeing the panthere and the trinity bracelets!

Lv key pouch gets a smell

Hi all, I have a LV Monogram key pouch that is about a year old. I keep cards, a small covered glass nail file, a couple bills and some coins in it. I don’t carry a lot in my bag, and nothing has happened to it to cause it to smell bad, but it does. I keep it next to a monogram pouchette accessories, and that doesn’t smell bad, so I’m confused as to why this is happening. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

Question about beige clair caviar

Hi Everyone,

I had a quick question about something I noticed on the beige clair caviar classic flaps.

When I look closely at the leather, some pieces have a darkness to the caviar grains..almost as if they are dirty, but some don't. Inserting a picture of a brand new one with the darkness to show what I mean. Can anyone help me understand - is it dirty leather or normally how they come?

Thanks so much!Screenshot_20220825-110724~2.png
