Ok..Following on from the SO debate on the Unpopular opinion thread I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we list our dream special order bags.
It can be any design, past or present, any leather (ditto even discontinued ones),any colour even rested ones...
I'll start with 3 dream bags but I'll probably add more later.. (I'm a greedy girl!)
1: 32cm Hac Black Barenia with either black or brushed phw with vert fonce or vert cypres lining
2: 35cm Kelly flat Swift phw in black or cassis with rose mexico or rouge garance lining
3: 40cm Paris-bombay smooth natural Barenia phw with chocolate lining

Hi montaigne owners, may I know if your bag clasp needs to close with a quick and hard press. Like really hard and at times, I need to use my fingers to smack it to close it tight if not the 'I' will keeps popping back out. Sorry if I cannot explain it well. Just that my bag cannot be close just by a normal press down. Not sure if it is a defect? Thanks

I noticed on the Goyard forum that UK prices are already significantly lower than the EU and USA and to top it off, the GBP is so weak, the USD can stretch much further there. The only thing is, the two Goyard items I really want are still too expensive for me right now (mini alpin, cap vert). Thinking about possibly getting a petit flot but I’d rather that money go toward the two I really love. And not something 3rd on my list and buying it only because it’s a great deal and I can afford it at the time.

Are there any other brands whose retail prices are already lower than the US/EU? My trip next week will be the first time I’ve been to either the UK or the EU.

Mini classic flap bag/ mini square pearl crush are always my dream bag but really hard to get!
My sales says they are all random shipment, and I will get it by luck?!!
But I am tired of getting in store and hearing “no” from them.
How could I get it and stop from getting anxious?!

Arghhhhh I’m so disappointed right now!! Some people may have seen an earlier post I did on a Travertine Cassette that I received from the Italist last week. It had some marks and cracked glazing along the handle, and I was really sad to have to return it as it was their last available.
Fast-forward to this week and after a lot of internal debating I decided to spend several hundred dollars more (but still less than retail) on the last available one at Vitkac, as I’m well aware of the price increase at BV that’s happening this week.
I’ve just opened the new one, and the leather strap is wrinkled most of the way along. To me this is almost worse than the first bag I received, as this is more noticeable overall.
Any feedback on what causes this and whether or not it will get better? Otherwise I’m so gutted that it clearly isn’t meant to be and that this was my last opportunity before the price increase to score this bag, which I had planned to begin using immediately. View attachment 5644693
*EDIT* I’ve just had a proper look at the bag all over and it’s flawless aside from the strap. But the strap really does look and feel wrinkled to me, it’s the first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the dustbag. All of the Cassettes I’ve tried on in person had perfectly smooth straps.
What does everyone think? Is this something that’s likely to happen down the track anyway? Or would you definitely return even given the imminent price rise?

It only occurred to me that it even could be strange to wear engagement style rings or solitaire diamond rings on fingers other than the traditional ring finger when a friend mentioned it to me recently. Is that a thing that most people don't do or is it considered some kind of faux pas? Aren't rings just rings and certain styles are just more widely used as engagement rings?

I don't think that I really care all that much, but I am curious! I know that some people consider it a faux pas to wear one on your wedding ring finger if you aren't engaged or married (I think people should wear their rings any and every way they want), but didn't realize that there were rules for the other fingers.

And apologies if this is an existing thread somewhere as I didn't yield any responses when I searched.

Hello! I am curious about the new saddle bag that comes with a strap. I currently have the older version and bought a guitar strap for it. I rarely reach for the guitar strap because I don’t think it works well with the saddle.

I like the idea of the new included strap so am thinking about selling my saddle bag and guitar strap to get the newer saddle bag version. Does this make sense? Or should I just sell the guitar strap and keep wearing the original saddle bag as a shoulder bag only? TIA!

Also, I love this green color so would be open to selling my black saddle just for this beauty but I think it might be sold out..

I recently purchased a limited edition mini bag in the iridescent color from Fashionphile and it arrived with tags attached. Even though this is in Excellent condition, never has been worn and the tag outside matches the number microchip inside, would you still get it authenticated? It also came in the Chanel box and wrapping. I have always gotten pre-loved Chanel authenticated but the only reason this one is different is that it came with the tags attached. I would like to wear it. I know, first world problems. Thank you for your time and feedback.

Does anyone happen to have a comparison photo or have seen both leathers near one another. I'm considering a Loewe puzzle in their classic Tan but I already have a Hermes Kelly 35 in Gold that I haven't used much. I plan to make more use of the Kelly because she's been a bit neglected recently and I don't want to be too redundant with the colors. Are they really as similar as others have mentioned before? I realize they are very different bags but I fear having a puzzle bag that is almost the same color as my Kelly will cause my Kelly to continue her lonely journey in my closet. TIA!

I'm really stuck on which necklace to choose as an everyday necklace. I am looking for a piece that will work day to night, casual or smart. I want it to be a piece I can put on and forget about, as my other necklaces are quite delicate and need to be taken on and off.

I'm trying to decide between the Metro heart necklace, Sentimental diamond heart pendant and the mini Victoria Pendant! I really love both and they would both work for my style. The motif on each necklace is under 1cm, so they're both quite dainty (which I like).

So I PI panic bought the Cassandre belt bag…..but it didn’t go up in price I love belt bags and she fits in nicely with my collection bc she’s small and sits close to the body. I wish the strap was a bit longer but overall I think I’m going to keep her. An all leather luxury brand bag for 1k usd seems like a great deal at this point given all these pi.

I must say, I’ve consistently been impressed with YSL packaging and quality.

Hi BV lovers. I keep going back and forth on which Mini Jodie color I want. It’s been practically a year of indecision. I was eyeing the travertine, porridge, black, or thunder.

Initially I wanted a fun color, then I wanted something versatile and ultimately ended up with thunder. My wardrobe is mainly neutral with a bit of pastel colors here and there. I saw some photos of really dirty Intrecciato on lighter colors and didn’t want that to happen.

Please tell me I made the right choice!! Does anyone have mod shots?

Does anyone own these earrings or have tried them on in-store? I love the look of them but I'm wondering how heavy they are, as my ears are pretty sensitive and if I get these, I'd like to wear them pretty regularly.

I need a travel Bag / Duffle Bag. It should not be too big (cabine size for flights) but also big enough to fit some stuff, including a Handbag like Kelly 28 or Chanel Boy or Jumbo, a Laptop, iPad, a book, make up pouch, a scarf, sunglasses and glasses.
It should have a zipper to close and ideally a shoulder strap.

Of course I thought about a LV Keepall (45 or 50), as it is a lightweight and sturdy bag and I like the opportunity to put my initials on it. But as a second thought, to be honest, I don’t think that a Keepall is the best idea as a travel bag in terms of safety aspects. The brand is well known worldwide and I think, it would be best to be a little more discrete.

So, now I am totally uninspired. Any recommendations or ideas?

This past weekend, I went to Gucci and purchased the medium Jackie in brown leather. This bag has been on my wish list for awhile. Unfortunately, while I was there, I made the mistake of trying on the large orange Attaché bag and it was love at first site. Wow! The leather was so thick and soft and the both straps were very comfortable. I absolutely love the Jackie, but I’m having doubts and I’m now thinking I should make the exchange. I know it’s really up to me, but I just don’t know what to do. I’m wondering if the Attaché is a little too trendy while Jackie is a classic. I certainly don’t follow trends nor do I care what’s in and out, but I want to be able to love the bag 2-3 years down the road. Anyone’s thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Please excuse my sloppy work at home clothes.
