Hi I’m not sure if this was already discussed here. But I came across a few YT videos discussing Chanel starting to become more tiered shopping like Hermes (in order to buy certain classics, you have to purchase from their RTW, etc). There are also talks that production has stopped, in order to limit available inventory. And how the company is being inflated prior to selling to Kering, LVMH, etc…so what does that mean to Chanel lovers worldwide? I’m curious to see if this brings about better quality or more innovative styles for the brand. I’m wondering about the value of the handbags if they will be “worth” less that another company took over or perhaps even more, now that quality assurance has been implemented. And lastly, did Chanel price their bags so that seasonal bags fill in the gaps where LV, Gucci and Dior hover around at? There isn’t a lot of bags available at the $2000-3000 range that I would consider a bag at least (something that Sophie Sohet touched on in one of her videos). I’m curious to hear what everyone’s thoughts are…should we sell all our Chanels? Would anyone participate in buying their other stuff prior to getting offered a bag now? Are seasonal bags only accessible to the majority but made poorly/less expensive materials? I have questions Chanel lol sorry for the lengthy post.
