Chanel selling? What does that mean?

Hi I’m not sure if this was already discussed here. But I came across a few YT videos discussing Chanel starting to become more tiered shopping like Hermes (in order to buy certain classics, you have to purchase from their RTW, etc). There are also talks that production has stopped, in order to limit available inventory. And how the company is being inflated prior to selling to Kering, LVMH, etc…so what does that mean to Chanel lovers worldwide? I’m curious to see if this brings about better quality or more innovative styles for the brand. I’m wondering about the value of the handbags if they will be “worth” less that another company took over or perhaps even more, now that quality assurance has been implemented. And lastly, did Chanel price their bags so that seasonal bags fill in the gaps where LV, Gucci and Dior hover around at? There isn’t a lot of bags available at the $2000-3000 range that I would consider a bag at least (something that Sophie Sohet touched on in one of her videos). I’m curious to hear what everyone’s thoughts are…should we sell all our Chanels? Would anyone participate in buying their other stuff prior to getting offered a bag now? Are seasonal bags only accessible to the majority but made poorly/less expensive materials? I have questions Chanel lol sorry for the lengthy post.

Email bann

Hi all!

I received this email today.. I’m going to guess I’ve made too many returns. I’m not super close to a store have a 1 yr old who’s not the easiest so going is just hard for me right now with little help. I called the 1800 number to check on a refund and asked about this email. She said she doesn’t see anything in my profile stating this? I’m confused. I don’t have anything else I want to buy so it’s probably saving me lol but just want to see others experiences. Recently

Chanel on Poshmark, should I be concerned!?

Hi all, Has anyone purchases from APOSHMARKAFFAIR on poshmark before?

I purchased this MINI so black yesterday but found the exact photos on Fashionphile. I’m freaking out now. The bag is getting sent to get authenticated however I was reading more about how fakes get approved often. This is my first time buying a preloved bag so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Canvas Strap Squeaks - Help please.

I just picked up my Keepall 25 Eclipse and tried it on when I got home and the strap squeaks horribly.

I wanted this bag since before it came out but had to go on extended travel so I could not get it until now. As soon as I knew I would be home, I ordered online to collect in store. The strap was tucked inside the bag so I didn't notice until I got home and put the strap on.

Is there anything that can be done to make the squeak stop or do I have to return it?

Alhambra ring owners: how did you choose your ring size?

I have been obsessing over the black onyx alhambra ring and lo and behold my local VCA had not 1 but 4 different size options. So I brought home this beauty.
One was a bit tight for my middle finger, hard to fit over the knuckle but very snug once on (but the clover did not move)
The other fits just right over my ring finger knuckle and I prefer how it looks on my ring finger. But it does swivel around a bit once on.
Hoping to hear from others on their decison making process/logic!AD5F8B1B-A026-4F79-B8B3-C909FC446E34.jpeg

Collapsed Boy - top flap

Just received a new-to-me small boy & it’s perfect (to me) with the exception of this slightly collapsed spot on the top flap on the back of the bag. Is there a bag shaper I can use to correct this? Will it worsen over time? This would be my 3rd chanel but 1st boy and I plan to use the bag pretty regularly. I can push out the debt but it eventually goes back. It’s not noticeable when worn so it’s not totally bothersome, just making me debate whether I should keep it as I don’t want it to get worse.3C5C6470-24D1-427A-B3A1-930709BF84BC.jpeg

Bag Recommendations

I'm a huge fan of the crossbody and larger style bags (like the Alexa, Bayswater, Del Rey etc..) and have a growing collection under my belt. I am now looking for a smaller evening bag to add to the collection, in particular one that would be suitable for a gala type event. Looking for some recommendations of styles that people covet or can't live without, happy to take a look at anything you can come up with as I love both plain and adorned styles!

Thanks in advance!

Fendi nano peekaboo maxi handle feedback

Hello all, does anyone have this super nano micro bag and have any pics and feedback on how your using it? Have seen Cassie Thorpe have it and a few other YouTubers and would love some advice. It looks super cute but not sure how it wears and any review, comments and feedback would be great. Any pros or cons? Even if you don’t own it I would love your comments. I know it doesn’t fit a phone and am ok with that. Will only need it for essentials, cards, cash, hand sanitizer and AirPods. Which I believe will fit. Is it worth the price as well? I do love micro bags so in the hunt for something semi practical which I can use when I don’t need much. Thanks so much

My husband threw out receipt

I purchased a GMOP Vintage Alhambra Pendant in Japan three weeks ago. My husband accidentally threw out the original receipt. So upset. I have the COA and original packaging and everything else and can screenshot/print out the purchase on my credit card history.
I guess as a last resort I could also contact the boutique where I purchased in Ginza and ask for a copy?
I’m not sure if this is necessary though. I have heard that to have it serviced I need the original receipt. I want to send it in to have the chain lengthened. Will they give me a hard time? It’s not like it was purchased secondhand, as I’m the original owner but it was purchased overseas. I’m in SoFlo.

If I ever need to change the motif out or have the pendant serviced years down the road will I run into issues? I don’t intend to sell, I will pass it down to my daughter.

Why do customs make declaring such a nightmare???

Both a rant and tangentially related to shopping. Every time I buy luxe goods (mostly in Europe) I always declare. Even before they purportedly shared shopping information with US border patrol. I also always fully declare, no funny math or rounding thousands down

That being said, the second I walk over to the area they inspect you you're some convict hiding something. Lots of rude questioning (debating whether your older items had just been bought), off handed comments about if you were lying about something, my bags totally ripped apart and never put back together, every single piece of clothing taken out. Any medications I have inspected etc. They dont even have someone waiting to take your payments when you're ready to pay and always need to be called over.

Declaring is the legal thing to do, but when youre readily about to pay 1-2K+ in taxes I guess I'm just shocked they can't even treat you nicely? Why do you get treated like a criminal? Is this all in my head? It just puts me in a terrible mood!
