Hi all! I know this is the Hermes thread so it might be biased I am looking for my next bracelet and have a couple options in mind. I am not the person who likes to stack too many bracelets together. I usually like to wear one or two. I don’t wouldnt mind wearing one all the time (love bracelet). My current bracelets include:
- VCA YG Guilloche 5 motif
- VCA YG Onyx 5 motif
- Dior Rose de Vents cuff bracelet

Clearly I don’t have many bracelets and would like to add to expand my collection. I do prefer yellow gold and really wish Hermes produced it again! I thought I wanted the Kelly half pave but when I tried the Kelly bracelet on, I wasnt quite sold on the width. I think I prefer the width of the regular love and the CDC. Here are some photos.

Thank you all for your advice!

St Louis uses

I know that the St Louis tote was designed as a beach bag, therefore it is not meant to carry a massive amount. I am considering getting the pm size as a city tote/errand bag. I live in the midwest so live through all seasons (sometimes feels like it goes straight from winter to summer, no spring) and I have read that the bag can crack/ get brittle in the extreme cold weather. I most likely will not use it in the winter, more so for summer.

I was wondering what everyone else here uses the St Louis for, since I am sure not everyone is using it exclusively as a beach bag. The reason I want to get it is because of the print and color availability. The prices are really off-putting however, $1660 for a tote:confused1:. If I had more disposable income and less financial burdens I wouldn't think too much of it.

I like the Artois more because it has a zip and reinforced sides but that is so much more (I like $2100). I have to pay 10.5% tax so it all adds up. Right now I use my long champ pillage large tote for travel and errands. Its practical, cheap but it does show wear and tear on the corners of the nylon.

First Coach is a vintage

Hello All! I just got my first Coach bag today from a thrift store. I was attracted to it because it is a size and type of bag that I like and it looked like good quality. When I looked at it closer I realized it was a Coach brand which surprised me because I usually think of Coach as having large Cs or other logo on them. I prefer bags without conspicuous logos so this one appealed to me. I looked it up when I got home and according to my research, this one is from May 1997 and is called Sonoma nubuck full flap.

It does need a little cleaning and brushing, but I'm very happy with the overall condition. I'm also impressed by the quality of the stitching, which is in excellent condition and is very even and well done. There aren't any of those little sticky-outy threads that you usually see at the ends of stich runs. I sew myself, so I tend to notice those details and really appreciate good quality sewing.

Also, the flap doesn't curl at all despite there only being one snap in the middle front. Often, I find front flaps start to curl or pull up at the outer corners over time, but this one has held its shape well over the years. Better than I have since 1997! That was half my life ago in fact. I'm 50 now and I turned 25 in 1997. Sigh. Well, I guess it's for the best that I don't look like a leather bag at this point. Thank goodness I was never one much for sun tanning.

It is not a valuable bag by any means, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it to use it and I'm happy with the price I paid for a bag that needs a little cleaning and sprucing up. I paid $40 for it, which seems to be a little less than what they're going for on ebay atm, so still a good deal. Honestly, regardless of brand, a bag in materials and craftsmanship of this quality in a color, size and shape that work well for me, is a steal at $40.

Here are a few photos:
1. Me wearing it to show overall size. For me, this is a Goldilocks size, not too big, not too small.
2. The inside tag identifying its number.
3. Closeup of some of the stitching which is still in great shape despite its age.
4. Closeup of the strap buckle. I like the little pieces of leather that protect the metal from leaving indentations on the strap (at least I think that's what they're there for).

Safe to say authentic when buying from FASHIONPHILE?

Hi! I have been purchasing strictly in stores but regretted not buying the Disney bucket and found in FASHIONPHILE for super low price. I have seen a lot of fakes and am just concerned if I am safe buying off FASHIONPHILE. Would you have confidence in it? I already purchased it, but am a bit concerned. Are they still reputable? It’s been a few years since I’ve bought anything preloved… I’m out of the loop!DFD25242-D8DA-4F15-B879-709363919A2F.png

First LV Bag ordered today! :)

I recently joined the LV fam with my first pre-loved piece which was the key pouch. It’s such a functional piece. I want to grow my collection but timing isn’t the greatest considering all of the price increases.

But today … I ordered my first LV Bag - I got an Alma BB in the DE. It’s my favorite print! I like how classic this bag is and the multiple ways to carry. Eventually I would like something in the empreinte leather…maybe a speedy ❤️

For those of you who have the Alma BB - do you have any fun straps you like to swap out or other ways to accessorize it? I was thinking of getting an adjustable thick strap from Etsy to switch into. I also have some chain straps which match the gold very well.

Anyway, excited to share her when she arrives!

Milestone Necklace- Please help 1 day to pick!!

I need to pick a necklace to mark a very important spiritual milestone (I’m converting to Judaism next week).

I don’t want to spend a lot of money, but I do want to buy something small to mark the occasion.

I like the idea of a daily necklace which goes with everything.

I like these…

The pressed heart is more than I want to spend but very pretty & substantial. I like the meaning behind the bean & olive leaf. The love is nice too but possibly a bit large (it’s the small rather than old mini size).

I need to buy tomorrow!! Help!!

Diamond Hoops - brands/where to buy?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations of brands/ where to buy some good quality diamond hoops—something for everyday understated wear, so I’m thinking pave or very small diamonds, and 3/4-1 inch in size. Unfortunately I don’t have a local jeweler I trust where I can get some made up, so I’m looking online.

I’ve read good things about Roberto Coin and have found these, though I don’t love how the part closest to the hinge has no diamonds: https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/roberto-coin-xs-pave-diamond-hoop-earrings-prod240840080

What are your thoughts on these, and any recommendations of brands/sites for quality diamond hoops? Thank you!!

White Gold Guilloche or WG Small Frivole Earrings?

Hi ladies,

I am contemplating my next pair of earrings and I would love to read your opinions. I would like something in white gold so I am considering either the small Frivole or the Guilloche. What do you all think?
I currently have YG MOP vintage size, Onyx vintage, Hammered YG vintage, and mini yellow gold frivole. I wear my jewelry daily with jeans and sneakers. I would also like to wear it to work. I don't really have a "social life" LOL so I want something that elevates the casual look without being too much.
Thank you so much for the chat.

Lambskin mini bag - quality/ not soft

Hi there
I have been trying to get my first chanel mini square (and first chanel bag) but none was available in the boutiques I went to (in UK and abroad) but did try mini rectangular and seasonal minis - My main concern was the feel of the leather.. I was expecting a super buttery soft feel but unfortunately, I have to be honest with myself, it felt plastic-ey and more of a "toy" bag if that makes sense, so I am very confused about what to think! I love chanel from cosmetics to accessories/shoes but just never was intrested in the bags until now and I must say I am disappointed. I have several YSL lambskin which feel so soft and are a pleasure to feel/wear, but really wanted a chanel one but now I am not sure as I don't want to get it just for the look and because it's chanel.. Is it just me? Or is it perhaps different for other models like the double flap where the leather might be softer? Any other luxury brands to recommend that have nice craftsmanship and soft leather? Thanks a lot !!

Gucci Marmont Line in 2023

I’m new to Gucci. Only designer bags I have are YSL. I love the look of the small camera bag in nude/taupe but I hear that this line was released in 2016 and is now considered out of style. I’d love to hear from true Gucci lovers about your opinion on this. I know that we should just get what we like but I also don’t want to buy a bag that’s already on the way out. I’m confused how it’s out of style though bc there are so many quilted bags out there including YSL which is definitely on trend. Thanks so much!
