I have a pair of gold CC studs with crystals, and the post has come off one of the earrings. I've asked around jewellers in my area but no one wants to touch it because it's costume jewellery and they're concerned that when they solder the post back on, it will compromise the bond on the crystals. Has anyone found a work-around to this? I really love the earrings and the price has just gone up soooo much since I bought them 10+ years ago, so I'd really love to be able to save them.

Recently had an issue with staining to want to prevent it in the future.

So I recently snagged a pair of the new Givenchy shark lock ankle boots in the bright pink color (currently sold out) and the color is so gorgeous, I was thinking of getting a handbag to match. My issue is that the hardware on the boots is silver and it appears the hardware on "matching" bags is gold. I also have the 4G padlock necklace in gold. I am usually a lunatic about matching so this is sort of bothering me - do you think it would look tacky to wear any combination of these items together? I don't mind how the silver looks on the boots but wish either the hardware was gold, or the one on the bags silver to match (though that would still leave dilemma with necklace lol). Thoughts?

I have 2 mini Lou’s - one in black and one in dark beige. I love them! Can be dressed up or down. BUT I have been lusting over the small envelope bag for a while and have a chance to get it preloved for a bit more than I paid for my black mini Lou. I might swap ‘em. That way, I have one of each. I’m a poll addict as well as a YSK addict so… Which do you like more from an aesthetic perspective as well as an overall recommendation?

I have been wanting a Fendigraphy bag for awhile but cannot for the life of me decide on a color. I prefer the "small" size as I think it will be more useful than the nano and I don't see that much difference between the small and the new medium size, which only comes in a few colors.

I am a pink girl and typically always lean towards pink but I don't love this bag in the light pink since I already have several light pink bags and especially since I already have another Fendi item in that color and think it leans slightly on a peachy-pink color and in this style looks a little "blah". I think there's a newer hot pink color but not loving that for this bag either as I usually prefer light pink but did recently get a couple of things in brighter pink and don't feel I would use this one in that color much. I was thinking the black would have the gold plaque logo "pop" the most but I don't generally lean towards black handbags (out of roughly 50 designer bags in my collection, only 4 or 5 are black). I thought about the white since I don't really have any true white bags but there may be a reason for that LOL I thought I was set on the mint green so I went back to look at it yesterday and they no longer had the mint at this store. They had the newer light green color called Green Tea which I LOVE but it only comes in the medium size and the logo hardware on bottom is silver not gold and while I don't typically mind silver hardware and see how it goes well with that shade, I don't think the large logo on bottom of the bag looks as nice or pops as much in the silver. I don't care for the other newer green color called Edamame as it is too bright for me. When I looked at a different bag in the mint color yesterday, it appeared much darker than I remembered and now after obsessing over it for so long, I don't think I like the color anymore (although hard to tell without seeing it in that actual bag). I saw another bag in the Dove color and thought it was a really pretty color and I don't have any bags that color. It's more of a taupe than a grey so I think it would look okay with the gold, where as if it were more of a charcoal grey I feel like the gold might clash. But, I also didn't see the actual Fendigraphy in the dove color in person and I'm not sure if I would love it or what I would wear it with. So, I really want this bag but am not in love with / sold on any of the colors. Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on this!

Hello ladies! Out of curiosity, I wonder if most people place their JUC rings with the nail head towards the top or the bottom?

Went to try on today and the SA told me most people wear it with the nail head close to the palm but I feel like most of the pics I see on TPF have the nail head towards the fingertips

Do any of you all noticed any slight tarnishing on your Cartier earrings? I have a pair of the love studs (the pair) in yellow gold. On the back of the earring is a slight garnish as well as the back of the earring backings. The front and post of the earrings arrant tarnished at all. Just wanted to ask if this is normal or if anyone has experience it? I tried cleaning it but it hasn’t worked. I usually let them soak in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes the wash with some dawn.

I purchased an item on eBay that was listed as an authentic Louis Vuitton piece for $300. The second I opened it I was pretty sure that it was fake. I am mediately reached out to the seller and told her that I was having it authenticated, but I was pretty sure it was fake And she replied that she would be happy to refund me. I sent it to pro authenticators, and it came back as inauthentic. I told the seller and she refunded me, I then requested a return label at her cost and she sent it to me.

so I’m a little caught as to what to do. On the one hand, she sold me a fake piece! On the other, she was very cooperative and proactive when I pointed this out and wanted to return it. It’s hard for me to believe that anyone would have not known this was fake if they had any level of sophistication with Louis Vuitton, but she may not have had any. For example, the box had Chinese writing on it! So, I’m not sure if she really knew it was fake or not.

I have heard that the Small Bayswater can be heavy. However I am interested in the Mini and not in pebbled leather but smooth calf which may make a difference. Can ayone tell me if the bag is heavy to carry on the crook of your arm? Also is the calf leather delicate?

So I purchase the Polene Numero Dix bag on preorder and had to wait a month for it to get delivered. Up one receiving it, I noticed there was no tag attached to the bag and the other paper work introducing the company. The only paper that was included were the instructions on how to change the bag straps. So I contacted customer service about it, they pretty much said sorry, we can’t do anything about that. So okay fine, it’s a small issue anyways.
I started inspecting the bag and I noticed the interior of the bag was a little off. There was a portion of the suede that looked like it was supposed to be sewn in. The edge of the suede was just out. So I again contacted customer service and they indeed said this was a faulty bag. They offered to do a replacement. But my issue is they can not send me a return label because of how the addresses work here on the island I live on. So they said they would cover the shipping costs up to $100. I went in to DHL and was quoted $153.
My question is should I return the bag and put out more money ($53), keep the bag and suck it up, or get a replacement bag by putting out more money ($53) for the mailing?
I was really excited for this bag but this whole experience just put a bad taste in my mouth with the brand.

I purchased a cornelian bracelet from the boutique today and in the boutique I noticed there were some fingerprints on the motifs. I thought no problem I’ll just wipe them off when I get home. However, when I tried to wipe the fingerprints off with an eyeglass cleaning cloth, it seemed to exaggerate the prints more. Is this normal?
