I'm new to the world of Le Pliage bags. I like to look on the secondhand market to get a sense of maintenance issues (I also love some of the older styles). I notice that bubbling of the fabric is a consistent problem. It appears to be the result of damage to the adhesive between the layers. I was wondering if anyone has experience with what causes that so I can make sure to take good care of the ones I have.

To match I currently have the MOP 5 motifs bracelet and the following earrings : MOP Vintage YG, Magic Malachite, 4 motifs MOP (for more drama!)

Back in december 2023 my mother lost one of her turquoise Vintage earrings so VCA took the old one and made a brand new pair. 2 weeks ago, my mum received the pair at the store, it is beyond stunning... we took a picture but looking at it clearly I realize that depending on the lighting the shades are different. As you can see one is lighter than the other.
My mother already paid for the service.
-Is it worth asking for the stone to be replaced to a similar shade or it is too late? Would it bother you?
I mean it is quite obvious to me that the shades are not exactly the same. The total service cost around 3600 USD

I’ve been debating for a few years now to get the Bvlgari serpenti pave ring but hesitated and always plunged into the world of Cartier. I’m looking for a statement ring next (with diamonds of course!) and decided to go for the serpenti. I then walked into the Cartier store and tried on the pave Cartier panthere ring and fell in love. Now I’m debating which of these rings are better on me. Does anyone own any of these and can spare any insight?

When I compared the two, the panthere felt a lot more shiny with the bigger diamonds on top of the head. The serpenti lies a bit more flat but I like the craftsmanship of the panthere better. Not sure if it’s a bit too statement?

Hi everyone. Need some advice here! I had an important birthday 6 months ago and I told myself I would buy myself a quota bag (which my SA originally said would take only a couple weeks to get). I put in a request for either of my top 2 wishes:
1. Kelly 35 in black with silver hardware
2. Birkin 40 in gold with gold hardware

I'm a guy. I was planning to use the K35 as an everyday/work/travel bag, especially with the strap around my shoulder. I was planning to use the B40 as a weekender bag to throw stuff in. Not to mention, obviously both are great investments regardless of how often I would use them.

6 months have gone by. My SA offered me a B40 in etoupe a few weeks ago and I passed because I'm not obsessed with that color. Now, I'm getting antsy and kind of just want to buy something. I'm feeling more OK with not getting one of my top requested bags right now. I do want to build a collection after all, and so I'm thinking I could get something now while I wait for my top requests.

I visited my SA over the weekend and he offered me 2 bags:
1. HAC 40 in gold with silver hardware
2. Kelly Depeches 25 pouch in black with silver hardware

I was really intrigued by both bags, but now I'm even more confused about what to do. Here are my pros/cons:

HAC 40 pros: It's GORGEOUS and I feel like a rockstar holding it. It would be used as a weekender bag the same way I wanted to use a B40, it's the same color that I wanted a B40, so it's almost the same bag. It can hold more than a B40, so maybe it's even better for travel? It's a classic Hermes bag.

HAC 40 cons: It's a big bag. It's not an everyday bag. Personally, I think it's way too bulky for airplane carry-on and I don't fly private lol. So I would be spending $12k (?) for a bag that would be used for train rides or car rides, which is less exciting than a bag that gets worn as part of my outfit in my daily life. It would probably stay in it's box 97% of the time. Even when it does get used, it wouldn't be used in "glamorous" settings.

KD25 pros: It's small and cute, very easy to style, very easy to use. I can see myself wearing it to work, while traveling, out to lunch, or to dinner parties. I could buy a leather strap from etsy and wear it cross body and it looks really chic. I would certainly wear it more than the HAC. It would be an accessory to elevate any outfit, any time of year.

KD25 cons: At about $9K, it's almost as expensive as a B or a K... but it's not a B or a K. It's not a classic bag and it feels less special. I don't believe it's resale value increases. I'm not sure if this bag is worth it's price. I think anyone random can walk into an Hermes store and buy this bag? It's also ironic to spend so much for this bag only to add a cheap strap from etsy just to wear it crossbody.

What would you do in my position? Should I buy the HAC, the Kelly Depeches Pouch, or just keep waiting for my dream bag?

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well. I just ordered my first Mulberry from Farfetch. It's the mini Alexa in the cornflower blue. I couldn't decide whether to get the blue or the Mulberry pink. That may be next. However, a handful of people said it's a way over priced contemporary bag. I got it for about 30% off of the original price. It shouldn't be the price it is. It will never hold it's value etc...what do you all think?

Hello everyone! I will be in Japan for nearly a month and I have been interested in getting myself a Goyard Artois or a PM St. Louis. Question is, do I splurge and get the St. Louis or just enjoy the Artois? Oh and I didn’t even think of colors. I think I’d get green? I didn’t even think to ask, is it difficult to get any of these styles and should I prepare to come home bagless? I wouldn’t be too upset if I didn’t get one but it’s be cool as a souvenir.

Should I have the concierge book me an appointment while I’m in Japan? My Japanese isn’t very strong, enough that I could have a minor conversation but nothing spectacular.

Also too, as a long time lurker, has the quality of the bags gotten better? I saw a lot of people had glue/cracking issues as well as “weak” canvas material issues.

Any LV experts out there know if this piece is legit? I can’t find it anywhere else - not even on LV website. I only see the Damier graphite on website or the classic brown monogram.

Hello everyone! Have been looking for a cute neutral/pink bag that is easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I think the new wave chain bag might be the one. Having trouble choosing between PM or MM.

PM: 8.3 x 4.7 x 3.5 inches $2710
MM: 9.4 x 5.5 x 3.5 inches $2980

Other option is the Coussin pochette but I feel as if I might get tired of the style relatively quickly.

I’ve been wanting a 5 motif for quite a while. I feel like that’s usually one of the first VCA pieces though I seem to do things in reverse, as I already have a nice collection.

I’ve been eyeing the blue agate and holding out for the perfect shade of blue. I saw one with a deep blue shade that I didn’t get and have since felt it was the one that got away. Yesterday I came across one that I really liked. This one looks vibrant to me and all the motifs look consistent. I’m thinking of going for it but not sure if I should hold out for another hue. What does everyone here think of this one against my skin tone?

So I just bought the Alhambra pave bracelet, and I had it resized 2 times. The first time, I didn’t like the fit, so I sent it out again. Today, I received it back and the bracelet is 18cm. I’m leaving to France today, so I wanted to bring the bracelet with me for my trip, I didn’t take a close look outside of checking that the fit was correct.

Usually, when the bracelet is resized to 18cm, the spacing is 7-9-9-7 links between the motifs. In my case, the spacing is 9-9-9-9 but they removed two links out from the ends.

I know a lot of people complain that uneven spacing bothers them. But I had actually come to terms with the asymmetry, and it doesn’t bother me. Either way, I wasn’t expecting this type of result… I’m not sure if it’s better or worse than the standard format.

What are your thoughts? Would you have it resized, so the bracelet conforms with the standard spacing scheme?

Morning Everyone. I am seriously looking at the coach runway tabby messenger 40 as a birthday present to myself. I only see it in leather on the coach website. My husband is buying me my first Mac book, and I know it will fit in this bag. I was wondering if anyone has the tabby messenger 40, how you like it, any wear and tear, what you like and don’t like. Hi all, my designer puppy chewed up my designer passport holder.

It’s been a frustrating run around from customer service about possible repairs for the last 6 months, but they ultimately told me they couldn’t do anything.

So in lieu of that, I’m looking for recommendations of places that offer custom painting of designer leather goods. Getting a cute flower painting or something on it sounds like a fun alternative way to distract from the bite marks.

I really like the look of this bag especially since shoulder bags are back "in", but since I cant find it locally, wanting some opinions on the leather quality and overall appeal of the brand? I have not seen much posted about the brand at all on here. Is Stella McCartney considered a luxury brand? The prices are similar to YSL, DG, Versace, LV etc although seemingly much less exposure. I like that there are not big logos though so I guess maybe quiet luxury? LOL. But also how is the quality? Does it stand up to the price? This bag is well over 2k.
