Vintage Chanel Chain Belts

Hi everyone!
I recently have been obsessed with vintage Chanel chain belts .
I have my eye on one from the 26 collection (I think this is 1989-1990?), but I'm not sure how to identify vintage pieces. I had a look around online but there isn't a lot of information around on how to check if the vintage belt is authentic or not . From what I've found, most people tend to check if it has a small metal piece that has engravings of Chanel & it's collection number.
For those who own or collect vintage jewelry pieces or vintage Chanel belts, how do you go about checking whether it's a real piece or not? And, if you have a photo of one from the 26 collection, that would be great!

What are your go-to summer bags? Style, functionality, and versatility matter. Share your favorites!

Hey everyone! I thought it would be great to discuss our favorite summer bags. Whether you're heading to the beach, embarking on a vacation, or simply enjoying the sunny weather, a good bag is essential. What are your go-to summer bags, and what do you look for in terms of style, functionality, and versatility?

classic flap vs birkin 30... which would you choose?

I am currently debating over the classic flap or a birkin 30
I understand the wait and difficulty getting one and that they are aestetically completely different but I like them equally and will only be purchasing 1.
more than happy for a 2-3 year wait and to purchase from Hermes in the meantime as I do anyway.

I suppose what im asking is owners of both if you could only choose 1 bag, which would you choose and why?

Im looking for quality over anything along with good after sales as its a forever bag so knowing I can have repairs done to a good standard is important to me.
I've had past issues with classic flaps and had to return them so its definitely left me worried with this particular bag especially since its recently gone up so much in price. if I didn't find defects with my previous 2 id have one already for around 2k less.

Need opinions please- I’m being offered a Panthere watch for a very low price but I’m not sure if I should go for it

Hi everyone!

I’m very much new to Cartier, I have a gold classic love that I bought myself for my bday a few months ago but that’s it.

I’ve never owned a watch in my life, but I’ve been eyeing some of the Cartier watches that are around $3500-6000. Mainly the ballon (small steel one and the MOP face one even though it’s the most expensive on my list at $6200) and then Tank and Ronde because they’re price friendly-ish.

I don’t think I’d want to pay close to what another love bracelet costs, because I would just get myself a small love with diamonds. I have to save quite a while for pieces.

Well my SO’s family heard I was looking and they own a small luxury pawn shop. They just got a small older two tone Panthere in and as a favor to me, are offering it for what they were paid for it which is $1500 no tax.
I didn’t bother looking at two tones before, because of the price jump when gold is involved.
The watch has some scratches but works and is 100% authenticated.

I asked a couple of my friends, but they’re not interested in luxury jewelry so they couldn’t really give me an opinion. I have until tomorrow to decide since a regular at the shop is interested in it otherwise.

I’ve tried looking on the website and it looks like this steel/matte version is no longer available? I am not sure what to do. I don’t trust my opinion yet because I don’t really know what to look for in a watch.
My wrist is tiny, I wear a 16 love if that helps. Also, I know so little about watches that in the photo it’s on upside down

Lady dior in Blush

Do you guys know the difference between the two? I have the blush/fard color in mini size that I purchased last year with the reference code M05380CAL_M50P (the one on the right). Would like to see pictures comparing them.

I want to purchase another blush color and really like the one on the left but if they look similar in person then i'd rather move on to a different color. Thank you in advance!

Mosaique gold square plate uneven surface

I just bought the Mosaique au 24 gold square plate n°3 and it’s so pretty but when I feel the top of the plate it feels uneven to the touch. I have the small sushi plate and don’t feel this same uneven feeling. It’s only at a couple of spots and don’t know if this is somewhat common in this line because of the mosaic nature? Can you guys please chime in! There’s no other plates online at this time in this size and color!

PS Experiences: Fully Opening Packages?

Hi everyone!

For anyone who has used a PS, do you find it a bit annoying when they fully open your package in order to post it to their socials? I've recently had this experience as I use a sourcing company and in turn, it seems they outsource personnel too. I was naïve and thought sourcing companies worked directly with SAs in order to buy and send out items:facepalm: This is only my second time doing this so I'm still finding my footing, but man it's been an eye opener!

I knew right away upon opening my package that the stuffing was not store sanctioned. What is typically black wrapping with a large rectangular logo embossed sticker was now very thin white paper with a small white sticker. When I rummaged through the box more, I found a business card with the shoppers socials and when I looked at their IG, you can see my item being ripped opened. I mean I get it, you have a business that needs to grow and in order to do that you need a lot of videos of said items you're helping buy, but at least open it with care  I'm happy to at least have the original box, but I also enjoy that small experience of opening the inside packaging too lol.

I messaged the company and they tried to blow it off saying packaging varies around the world, which yeah sure that checks out for some brands, but there's also literal evidence that the inside material was switched out for my item.

My first experience with the company was great in terms of having a complete package. I had the original box with receipt and tags, completely unopened inside packaging. I also thought the tariffs were included in the final price for the first and second (most recent) items I purchased as I never received any additional fees from the shipping company but after looking at the two waybills again, I can see they underdeclared it by a crazy amount (180 euros v $5700 paid by me). That's bonkers to me! I mean at least ask before doing it:whut: I paid them via transfer so I easily could have been SOL if the bag and accessories were lost.

I feel like I'm being dramatic about all this, but I don't know. Any and all opinions are appreciated!

Hello all.
Long long time member here who loves VCA and cherishes her small collection. All from Alhambra collection. I have the Alhambra turquoise vintage 5 motif bracelet. Another in mop white gold and the lucky Alhambra in yellow gold. I also have the magic 3 motif earrings in white gold. I’ve diligently collected these over the years but have recently resisted the temptation to add to my collection as lately I am feeling disappointed and disheartened as I see so many fakes around.
What‘s your point of view?

Necklace options

Which would you choose

  • Vintage alhambra in onyx and yellow gold

    Votes: 48 75.0%
  • Baby love necklace in Yellow gold, no diamonds

    Votes: 16 25.0%

I am trying to decide between a vintage vca onyx necklace or the cartier baby love necklace. Does anyone have both? I know they are very different, but I truly am having a hard time choosing. I already have multiple cartier pieces so this would be my first vca. I enjoy the love collection a lot, but I also am not sure how well I think the screw motif would show up on the small necklace rings. I am not interested in having diamonds in either. I would be purchasing either one in Yellow gold. Can you all help with opinions or thoughts? If you have either are there any pros or cons to either?
