I've been on the hunt for a vintage Celine triomphe and I found this one on eBay. I offered the seller $1000 and they accepted! With taxes it came up to $1083. While I don't regret getting it, I have this weird feeling that I overpaid for it. Thoughts?

Hi all! I can’t decide on which color Anjou mini to get (Black, black/tan or grey). I would use both canvas and leather sides. Which color do you think would be the most universal/neutral that can go with most clothing colors and worn through all seasons? Is the grey more of a cool or warm grey? Is the tan too orange? I am having the hardest time deciding between the Cabas Alto or the Sac Shopping Tote 60! Looking to use this bag as a purse and diaper bag combo. I have an infant and a toddler, both in diapers, and will need to carry snacks, small toys, a change of clothes for them both, diaper supplies, and of course my wallet, phone, keys, and a small amount of makeup.

Help me decide, please! What are the pros and cons of each?

Side note- I tried the Neverfull GM and sold it because the straps did not work for me.

Happened to be passing through the Neiman Marcus in Stanford shopping center and saw this. Pretty exciting but I do wish it was a stand alone boutique. I also thought they closed a lot of the Neiman Marcus+Van Cleef stores so was surprised to see this.

I expect to be in Paris this summer with my family (we go every year--family trip), and I am thinking about trying to fit in an excursion to Hotel Drouot. On the website, I regularly see vintage Hermes handbags that seem, at least, to go for not entirely unreasonable prices. I've considered attempting one of their online auctions, but the shipping costs to the US are very high, and then, of course, there's the "buyer's premium," which perhaps moves those "not entirely unreasonable prices" back into "unsurprisingly high" territory. Still, a trip to Drouot has been on my bucket list since I read Diane Johnson's Le Divorce (a must-read novel for anyone who loves compelling fiction and/or Paris and/or Kelly bags).

I'd be grateful for any advice on this topic: Have you purchased Hermes at Drouot? Good experience? Bad? What should a newbie know before going? (For context, although I'm far from fluent in French, my shopping French isn't horrible.)

(I checked before posting to try to find a thread on this topic--I didn't see one, but I'm not sure I didn't miss something. Apologies if so. There are lots of threads on the LV Drouot . . . )

I ordered a beautiful mini Ostrich Capucines but the strap is a bit long on me. Does anyone know if I can send it to LV for additional holes? I’m willing to pay to have them added. I would appreciate any information on the process. My SA doesn’t seem to know. Thanks so much for your help.

So I got a quota bag offer for a B25 after almost a year of wait but the color is not ideal… it’s called gris névé. I put a wish for neutrals : black, gold or etoupe (greys) but this grey is not what I was thinking of when I put my wish. Especially not as a first Birkin.

-I think I will reject the offer but still wanted your thoughts on that color? I would mainly use the bag for events or dinner time.

I've seen a few posts about second hand Cartier purchases and going in for cleaning, but in my case I bought a ring without checking if it came with the certificate first and I found out after the purchase it didn't have one. I wonder if anyone knows if Cartier will still clean my piece without the cert and if I can still get it engraved or resized? Please let me know!

So I need some help. I dread buying from online because I hate not being to check the bag over before taking it home. But I caved and bought the micro djoy online at the very last minute before the price increase and now I’m stuck in this dilemma. The outside looks perfectly fine but then I find this noticeable mark on the inner suede. I immediately went into my Dior to ask about options (was hoping they could easily fix the mark) but was told there’s nothing they can do there. The SA said I can try to exchange it online but who knows if they’ll mail me another one with different defects. He said the store can order me a new one so I can inspect in store like I alway do, but then this means it’ll be at the new price. I don’t know if I’m bothered enough by the mark to go through all the trouble. Does it bother anyone else? I know we all would like a perfect bag esp at this price point but I read enough horror stories in this forum about Dior online service that I’m conflicted. Would appreciate other ppl’s thought on what I should do. Thanks!

Thank you for everyone input on my previous post. The final decision is Kelly Elan. Since it is more versatile to use for both formal or casual. The black and SHW is so chic especially with Chamkila leather.

Here is some comparison photos with mini Kelly, Kelly to go and Kelly 25.

Even though the bottom is 28cm but it it not that much bigger than 25cm. Also the strap is way more easier to remove than Kelly To Go. As it is less wider than K25 or mini K, it felt not as bulky.

So I’m torn! I went to the boutique to pick up my speedy 20 Damier ebene and took the opportunity to try on some bags that are on my wishlist. The Monoglam 20 happened to be in stock so I tried it on and I really loved it!! I also tried on the mono speedy 20 too and loved that too! So I’m torn…do I go for the monoglam now and get the monogram later? Or skip the monoglam and stay classic with the monogram? I do have speedy b 25 in Damier eben and mono. But really like the 20 size for weekend and casual. If I get the monoglam and the monogram, that’s a lot of speedys lol. But the speedy is my favorite LV.

I also added a picture of the bolougne and a keepall 25 because I will probably add those two in the fall/winter.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this color? Mostly, does it fade or does the color rub off on jeans or light colored shirts. I’ve been wanting to try the regular size, since the mini is way too small and thought the sale price on the Mulberry site was too good to pass up. Although, maybe that’s the reason it’s on sale. I finally found a black maxi intrecciato hobo on Vestiaire Collective for the great price of $830. The leather is in amazing shape and the bag looks stunning from the outside. Inside is another story. The lining seems darkened, overall, and there are several large spots of some kind of staining. Fortunately, there is no smell. I purchased the bag knowing I would need to replace the lining and would appreciate any input you all can provide about the best approach to doing so.

While this is a forever bag for me, I'd still like to do as much as possible to preserve it's ability to be authenticated as a real BV bag. With that in mind, is it better to take it to a BV boutique? Or can I send it directly to Modern Leather? Is there some value or benefit to going through the BV boutique that should be considered? I've never had the lining of a bag replaced, so I don't know what I don't know. Is there anything else I should be mindful of and may not be thinking of?

So I have a black on black toy loulou and a black with SHW small envelope bag. They serve similar purposes and I am looking to sell one. Based on aesthetics alone, which would you keeep? I love them both but it’s redundant. I love the look of the small envelope and the shiny silver hardware however; the casual nature of the toy loulou and its versatility is appealing. Unpopular opinion though … the toy loulou doesn’t feel as luxe to me. It’s adorable and squishy but the envelope feels more luxe to me. What do you think?

Have you ever found a BV so special, so rare, that you feel like you've won the handbag lottery? I think these finds deserve their own thread. A place for us to share our lottery prizes!

I'll start off with my find. It happened last weekend. I was up too late Friday night, casually scrolling on TRR, when I saw her. I told myself a few days earlier, "No more handbag purchases until later this year." I was sipping margaritas on ban island.

But how often does one stumble across a super rare BV on a resale site? She was green (favorite color), she was croc (not yet in my BV collection), she was a Stretch Knot (hmmm....don't have that one either).

SHE WAS LIMITED EDITION 1/1.

But I'm on ban island, so I click the icon, and go to bed.

Then Sunday morning, I see @Euclase's post about this Stretch Knot on the BV Finds thread. I reply, mentioning I have my eye on it. Then @indiaink gave me the encouragement I needed, by telling me to do it - it's a once in a lifetime thing. And she was absolutely right!

So, my gorgeous, one of a kind, green croc Stretch Knot arrived tonight, and I'm in love. I easily consider this the most special bag in my collection. Oh, and those initials on the plate? It was already personalized, but my initials happen to be "AG" also. She was meant to make her way to me, and I named her Fortuna.

I sincerely hope someone here can assist me in photographing the serial number inside a medium Caviar classic flap bag. I am getting extremely frustrated, and angry, because trying to take a pic is making me afraid I’m messing up the bag, because I have to keep opening and stretching.
I tried putting my iPhone inside, I tried putting my iPad inside, all I am getting are bad, blurry pictures.
Is there a way to do this? What am I doing wrong? Any help will be very appreciated.
