I have a question for those that are creative. I purchased a vintage Chanel bag from this lady who painted a picture on the bag. She said that she was cray cray for doing it but I took it off her hands for $50. The thing is I don't care about resell or anything like that and I am creative myself so I kind of understood but not fully of why she did it. Here is the dilemma. The paint on the bag is peeling. I don't know anything about painting handbags or upcycling. What would you do in this scenario? The paint on the bag is hard and peeling in some places. Its not a small picture its the entire bag. Thanks for your input.

I have a sentimental value of this bag. When I found out about this bag back in early 2000s, I couldn't afford it. Financially and mentally, I had no capacity getting something that I like. When I found out that they discontinued the bag, I didn't understand why, cause it is just THE bag for me and for many others. Much later, when I became more stable in many ways, I started my bag collection. I got neo classic mini bag in 2022, hoping this would be the reminiscent of the motorcycle bag. When I got it, I was a bit disappointed because it just looks similar but it didn't really have the feeling. I still love the mini bag, though. Today, I got my white Le City medium bag and had really mixed feeling. It is just a bag but it is not just a bag at the same time. I am just overwhelmed and share some story and the picture of my new bag.

Per the Fall Winter 2025 resee events, Hermes is finally releasing an Evelyne in 23cm, between the current TPM (16cm) and PM(29cm) sizes. It looks exactly the same as the classic Evelyne and comes with an adjustable canvas strap and keeps the back pocket feature of the current PM. Price TBD.

I have had my heart set on some cute Brahman bags that I have been looking at. Has anybody else carried those? Do they last as they say? Are they worth the purchase?

I couldn’t find a clubhouse for this little girl but here she is in Dark Cork. The leather is so supple and the interior is fully leather lined. I can’t fit key pouch with cards and cash, keys, large key fob, phone and sunglasses as well as little things like a lip product etc or a snack bar. You can also fit a mini pochette if you want to throw things in that with cash and cards and keys plus a phone. Small but mighty! Perfect casual daily bag for all seasons and all outfits. Can dress up or down. I especially like it for summer with casual outfits crossbody. Smells and feels amazing 🤩

Hi- I’ve been off the forum for quite a while! I’m just wondering how the market is for the older styles ( Day, Work, Twiggy)? I have spent all morning researching prices on the Bay, Yoogis, PoshMark etc and it seems like prices are all over the place.
I just took an early retirement(!!), so I’m looking to get rid of a few bags. I just don’t need everything I have. But I have never sold on the secondary market and so I don’t even know where to start as far as pricing.
So I’m just looking to you all who have watched the ups and downs of this market for years~ are the older bags still popular, or would I need to really discount my bags in order to have them sell?

I am looking for some guidance. I’ve been thinking about getting a yellow gold Rolex since I was a little girl (and the women I admired wore them- grandma, career mentor, etc…) and now that I’m in my 50’s I think it’s time for mine.

I have a submariner I love, and it’s 40mm. I am thinking of the gold Rolex as the sophisticated look versus the Sporty oversized look of the submariner.

I’ve considered a 31mm, 34mm DJ, a 36 mm DD and I’ve also looked at 31/34mm Pearlmasters.

I wear big bracelet stacks (shout out to @missie1 ) and sometimes Schlumberger bangles . I did have an Everrose president in 31 with a smooth bezel that I sold because it wasn’t the right color and I hated the smooth bezel. And I had a 26mm Platinum Lady President that was too small for me to see without readers.

I’d love to hear from the ladies on this forum their opinions and guidance from their experience.

Hi all! I would appreciate your help in deciding which suits me more…RG or YG in the hammered. I personally love the RG but my SA told me that the rose gold blends in with my skin. I have gotten my colors done before and I know that I’m cool undertone. Have included a few photos here. I am planning to save up for the 20 motif because I like the versatility of it. I’m torn choosing between a reissue 225 bag in so black & another in ruthenium hardware.
Any ladies with so black chanel bags and could let me know what their wardrobe is like?
I know I’ll get a lot of use out of the ruthenium bag but am intrigued by the so black hardware a lot, both are my dream bags but so black bag cost a lot more compared to ruthenium. My wardrobe is very casual and I wear a lot of dark colours to begin with so am not sure if the so black would only look good if I had a lot of colour in my wardrobe as a contrast colour in accessories.

Does anyone have this bag? I remember some hype surrounding it when it came out in the winter then never heard about it again. I didn't get a chance to see it in store, but one just popped up on fashionphile so I snagged it. For those that have it, do you love it?

I know this is a love-or-hate kind of bag, I haven’t seen many people who don’t have a strong opinion on it, and that’s ok, we all love different things and the world would be boring otherwise.

Im a massive fan of east west style bags, and I’m not the biggest fan of totes so I have a bit of a love hate relationship with the classic birkin. Then I learned of the existence of the JPG shoulder Birkin and the new 29 cm version and fell in love. I never thought I’d get it in store but happened to be offered one by chance as another client turned it down and I was in the right place and time I guess. I also own the OG 42 shoulder Birkin and here’s a side by side comparison !






The 42 is ébène clémence palladium (I believe, I bought it from an individual seller that didn’t have the specs. It is currently at the spa as it’s a little discombobulated and the hardware is in bad shape) . The 29 is evercolour gold with gold hardware.

For reference I’m 5’9(177 cm) tall.

The large one is great for travel (as you see from the pic on the plane!) and I use it for school (I’m a postgrad student; I live in a country where it’s totally normal to bring a designer bag to school. There are 3 Chanels at least in my quantum mechanics class ).

I use the small one for school too as it fits a small tablet and my notebook. I use both for the gym, I usually wear hotpants and a tank and those are easy to squash into any bag honestly.

I have gotten stuck in a doorway with the large one once and caused a small “traffic” jam XD. Very funny. Wish I had it on video. The corners on that bag should be destroyed but clémence is very sturdy.

The hardware on the small one is a lot more dainty and refined. The small one has a pocket, while the big one doesn’t (and it turns into a bit of a black hole if you don’t use an organiser, which I dont 😅) .

The small one is a lot more structured but the leather is different too; I don’t have much experience with evercolour but I used to have a clémence Kelly and clémence leather pretty much turns into liquid over time so I make sure I stuff it for storage.

Both fit over my shoulder if I don’t wear anything too voluminous. The really awesome thing about the small one is that it has a very similar vibe to the Birkin 25 but you easily can carry it in the crook of your arm unlike the 25. That is the reason I actually sold my Birkin 25 I used to own.

I have 2 Boston bags that are mostly carried with the top handle, but I’m now favouring using the longer crossbody strap. I have the long strap for my Navy bag but don’t have a Dark Brown strap for the other 😔 I’d really love to get a genuine replacement strap for it, and have tried V*nted, eB*y and Vestiaire Collective but haven’t had any luck. I have seen some canvas Red/Green straps on eB*y and Et*y - I’m not ruling this out but want to try and source a genuine option first! I have also previously looked into having a leather strap made (for one of my Mulberry bags) but found them to cost more than a genuine, pre-loved strap. Does anyone know where I can find a Brown Boston strap? Thank you!

Searched a thread for sizing but looks like there is not..

I have found a pair of seasonal lamb skin ballet flats that I wanted to buy a year and half ago on local consignment site. The problem is even when I saw them in store, they were sold out in my size so I couldn’t try them on. Chanel sizing is all over the place for me - they have a 37 available but I’m not sure if they’ll be too big or too small. I’m a true us 6.5

Below are some of the Chanel shoes I have and sizing:

ballet flats in suede- 36.5 - for this one, the length is ok but slightly tight in toe box

Ballet flats in patent leather - 38 - fits ok, shoe is very stiff in general. Was surprised when I had to go up to a size 38. Never worn 8s before

Dad sandals - 36.5 - fits perfect

Heels - 37 - tight in toe box but overall ok

Rain boots - 37 is good

Based on the above - do you think I can go with the 37 in these ballet flats ? I don’t think I’ll mind having more space as I could get some insoles.. and they shouldn’t be too small for me right now?

They are final sale so a little worried they won’t fit.

From your experience, do you usually size up or remain true to size for ballet flats?

when I'm home, it's no makeup and sweats or some sort of leggings or yoga pants. I have a friend who wears clothing like jeans and a decent top that she can go out in when she is cleaning the house or working in the garden. I guess she looks nice for her husband that way. I can't see it.

Saw a girl carrying a GSH City the other day and remembered I have a GSH City. It was my first fancy bag, but I recall being scared to waterproof it because some people had issues with it affecting the hardware, and then after a friend spilled beer on & stained a different bag, I was so traumatized I put it away in the closet and then forgot about it.. Anyway, pulled it out and it's feeling a bit dry, but honestly can't remember if it was always that way (mine is 2009 if it matters - tried to attach a closeup of the texture).

Should I moisturize? Should I waterproof? What products do people like now?

This morning I received this email. Unfortunately I dont have time to go to the boutique. So I did order a shawl and charm online. I do love the LC theme this year, its garden, fun and fresh, some really cute charms. I was tempted to get the eggplant clutch, its adorable! I just dont think I would use it and I have way too many bags already.

I have seller’s remorse as you all predicted and miss the Neverfull. Would you go for preloved Damier Ebene in excellent condition or a new Epi to go more quiet luxury? I like my Epi Alma bb but not sure how it would be in the neverfull. Also, I love empriente but I always see wear on the edges of those on preloved market which turns me off to buying it. I know DE is my favorite canvas but is it too overdone? Orrr should I splurge and go new reversible style? I’d prefer not to spend that amount on the neverfull but it does have many bag looks in one.

I’m curious if anyone has tried this on or owns it? Does it usually lay as in the picture? Or is it constantly rolling around where you can never quite tell that it’s a viper?
