what do you wear at home?

I have a small rotation of house clothes. My allergist told me it would help to eliminate pollen to shower and change once you get home. It’s more comfy, so I do this year round. It also saves wear and tear on my street wear. Loose Lafayette navy shift shirt dress and rag and bone Miramar jeans (that are made of soft stretchy sweat pants material are a couple of examples. To entertain at home, I like elastic waist band missoni pants. I don’t want anything restricting around the waist, or anywhere else, and I don’t want to wear athleisure. (I wore athleisure for decades when I worked at home, and I think yoga pants contributed to steady creeping weight gain lol). Since Covid, I stopped wearing makeup (I have nano semi permanent make up eyebrows and aquarelle lip color). No jewelry at home.

ETA: I don’t want to look like a complete slob bc my mom and stepfather used to wear matching soft flannel (the days before polar fleece) button downs from Kmart. It might have been fine except, I think they would take pride in finding the ugliest plaid. Or she would wear TJ Maxx leggings and a t shirt that said “Same sh*t, different day.” Some of my house stuff, like the Lafayette shirt dresses were formerly street attire from when I was heavier etc. I have ‘house Birkenstocks.’

I wear the same type of things I wear to sleep in: cotton tops or sweatshirts, and sweatpants, yoga pants or leggings. Slippers, no shoes in the house. No bra because I want to be comfortable. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DKF2Y7HK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1&psc=1 so I can work in the front yard without actually having to put on a bra. During the summer, I wear tee shirt dresses, especially after swimming.

same here - no bra...I guess that top you posted is one-size fits all? I don't see any place to select size

I sometimes put on workout clothes when I get up to make sure I work out later in the day. If I need to go on a video call I'll just zip my fleece jacket all the way up.

When I've been to the office and need to get dinner started I sometimes don't change but I do use an apron to protect my work clothes. Since I hate ironing, my office wear is mostly heavy (ponte?) Jersey dresses and knits.

My other at-home option is a rotation of dark blue and black Athleta sweatpants with a slim silhouette, only I'm a size smaller than when I bought them. Tops can be older jersey tops and either a fleece or an older cardigan.

Depends on the day.

Similar to when I go out, but once in I usually take off my watch, bangles or larger earrings etc, outdoor shoes/boots, jacket. If I'm wearing a light colour/white top I may change it. I will take-off any shirt that is double-cuffed, any tie and sometimes my scarf.

I often have to to screen-time meetings so even if I'm working from home there has to be some professionalism in the way I dress - and the top has to have a bottom.

If I'm wearing a pencil or somewhat restrictive skirt or jeans, trousers I don't want creased (anything I don't want creased) I will change into something more 'giving' once away from work.

Makeup, I always try to wear sunscreen on my face, then TM or skin-tint because I will probably go out at some point. I am having a hard time with mascara atm so I only put it on if actually going out (taking a cotton swab with me). For a meeting I will whisk on a bright or stronger lipstick (which works better on me with a 'naked' eye).

I mostly get dressed to please myself home or out anyway. I also don't want to have a wardrobe of beautiful things and walk around in my rags only fit to do the garden in. I am on the edge most days due to personal circumstances and I find getting dressed 'properly' helps me feel more in control of my life - however illusory that actually is.

At home it's very simple, tees or long-sleeve crewneck tees, hoodie if it's chilly, and black pants with elastic waistline. I do a lot outdoors around the property, though, so often it's gardening-worthy clothes (beat, older things) in rotation. Hell no on a bra.
For going out on ordinary errands on a home day, I make a tiny effort with managing my face and hair, earrings go on, and less terrible shoes. No hoodie when I leave; a decent outer layer (jean jacket, Barbour, short or long puffer).

for short errands like the post office, I put on brow makeup and presentable top and bottom (as opposed to baggy sweats) and a bra

Shorts/t-shirt or sweats/joggers and fleece, depending on the season. No makeup or jewelry. If I have a video call for work I will put on a nice sweater or jacket and lip stick. My makeup routine has really gotten pared down, so I usually wear large-framed glasses so they can't see what's going on behind the scenes, iykwim.

If I go out to run errands, I'm usually in a baseball hat and nicer casual wear. Sometimes I wonder if I would be unrecognizable to my professional colleagues if they ran into me on the street. Lol.

No makeup. T shirt and sweatpants. If it’s hot, then gym shorts.
Any layers would be throwing on some kind of hoodie.
I’m very lazy. Nothing is coordinated. Very mismatched, often covered in dog hair lol.

For errands and things like spa treatments/pedis, uh…nicer sweatpants?

Tbh I sometimes I feel like I look like a homeless person. If you saw me, despite my ootd photos on the ootd thread you’d probably wouldn’t recognize me.  But I kind of like it that way.

I don't like surprise visitors (which we rarely get) when I'm home. If one of DH's friends shows up, I will hide

Sounds like me, but I'm covered in cat fur. Lol.

I don’t like surprises in general lol. Kind of a crazy need to plan/schedule sort of person.
My husband’s friends are kind of spontaneous. But I get more worried about having a messy house than my hobo self. I’ll do a quick clothes change with something a little nicer (which means fresh hoodie and sweatpants not covered in dog hair lol 😆 ) and put my hair up.
