Best Corners for longevity let's discuss

So many posts talk about corner wear, scuffs, etc. and I see on my own bags how the rest of the bag might look ok but the corners .... yikes.
I've seen people say the sharp corners on the Chanel Boy scuff easily; but then again softer more folded corners like on my old Coach bag are totally worn off.
So what makes an ideal corner on a bag? Or is it no corner at all?
And how do you take care of the edges/corners of bags so they don't wear off?

Would you me decide on the gold color please?

I have a wedding set but for an anniversary gift I am getting a solitaire. For now I will keep it as a classic look but may put it in my current set. Undecided as my current is pear and this is oval. Though they showed me how it would work, but it would be fun to change up the look and wear different rinds for a while. I haven't had anything new in so long. So classic 4 prong oval 2.07 G VS1 in yellow gold, I like the no maintenance. Or a classic 4 prong in white gold 2.02 F VVs2? I have a lot of white gold and I do have some yellow but I was robbed, so most was stolen and uninsured. I love the look of both metals and I am so torn.

My husband forgot the day...so this is why I get a treat.

TIA for any help

Buying a le pliage in the same colour?

Hi everyone,

I have a large le pliage in burgundy which I bought in 2012. After regular use over many years there is corner wear and the straps are very soft with wear.

I think it’s now time for a new one! I’m planning on getting the LLH again and they have released it in burgundy for this Autumn. I love this colour and think it actually works as a neutral and all year round but have also seen the Fawn colour which looks lovely.

My question is would it be silly to buy a replacement in the same colour?! I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks so much ☺️

Handbag Colors

With summer ending soon (in many areas), wardrobe and handbags colors tend to change.
Everyone's preference is different.... probably honed by years of habit as well as our own
sense of style, and influenced by the colors we see in fashion as it is promoted.

Every time I see a beautiful Dooney Florentine handbag in a color like IVY or Bordeaux
I'm reminded how stunning these colors really are. And then I wonder.... why haven't
I worn them in a long time. They have not just been passed over for the lighter, brighter summer colors,
but ignored *lby me and others) for the past few fall and winter seasons.

What are your favorite handbag colors for fall? Do you crave the change to the richer,
darker seasonal colors? Or are you happy with a set of core colors all year?

I'm influenced by the seasons, weather, and yes, fashion. I like an outfit to look cohesive...
as if I planned the combination of color/pattern of the clothing and handbag. I tend to use
neutrals when the clothing is brighter or the patterns are busier. And if I wear one item in
a vivid color , then I try to introduce that color elsewhere into the outfit to tie it all together.
Pink T shirt with black or white pants needs something else with pink to make the outfit look
pulled together in my mind. Just matching the handbag to the neutral color pants would work....
but wouldn't look finished to me. Yes, I'm probably overthinking it.

Double Eyelid Surgery in USA (California)

Did anyone get their DES done here in the States, especially on the West Coast? I (35/M) was thinking about doing it in Korea, but after factoring in the travel expenses and risks, I found that it would be better to do it here, near the comfort of my own home. So far, I’ve narrowed it down to a couple of surgeons who do DES.

Surgeons who do DES:

Dr. Andrew Choi, MD (focuses on facial and eyelid, second in rank to Charles S. Lee on Realself)

Dr. Melanie Ho Erb (focuses on eyelid and the face)

Dr. K. Charles Kim (does everything from face to body)

Charles S. Lee, MD (featured surgeon on Realself and famous TikTok surgeon, focuses on the face and not just eyelids)

Dr. William P. Chen (only focuses on eyelids. Wrote a couple of books about eyelids. He might be near retiring age since he started in 1988)

Dr. Denise Wong, MD (only focuses on eyelids as well. Could not find any negative reviews on her even though she has so many reviews)

So far, I am leaning toward Dr. Denise Wong since she has a perfect review score out of anybody and her work looks pretty good to me. If anyone has experience with them or other surgeons, please feel free to share your experience or knowledge. Thank you.

Speedy 25 Bandouliere Strap

Hi, I have S25 B Empreinte leather in Marine Rouge color and would like to know where can I get a Strap only? Either Preloved or new. For the life of me I can't find the original Strap it came with🤦🏻‍♀️
I'm based in Australia. I've looked over ebay but none of this color.
And how much should I expect to pay? Or should just get used to carrying it without🤔? Thanks a lot.

Value differences at reseller depending on year

I know there's no hard and fast rule, but do the prices of birkins/kellys at resellers depend highly on plus or minus one or two years, all else being equal (including condition)? Obviously the newer the better, but if it's a "BNIB" bag, would you pay signficantly less for a 2021 bag vs a 2022?

I assume if it's a unicorn bag like a hima or a faubourg, the year differences don't matter as much, if at all?

Beach towel review??

(I swear I searched first 😬)

I was offered beach towels in France and laughed about it because it seemed like a ridiculous purchase. I mean who buys beach towels for $700? Well ok, so maybe I do?

I have been looking online (I am crazy and like to do my Christmas shopping early) and the beach towels caught my eye so I started looking at them. My kids and I are beach lovers in the extreme, and the kids looooove Hermes. So it would be a super cute Christmas gift.

I think I saw someone post recently that the H towels weren’t great but I searched and could not find an actual review of the beach towels. My specific questions would be - 1. how do they wear if you take them to an actual beach with sand and dirt (vs a clean beach club environ) 2. Are they soft 3. Do they wash well + stay soft

Thank you!!😘😘

Birthday haul2024

One of my birthday bags arrived today. Dooney and Bourke Florentine Gracie in the color Ivy. It’s a keeper smooth all over. New in package and very beautiful. I could not find pictures of this bag but I found YouTube of the pebble leather Gracie. It’s so beautiful. Loving the look of it. It’s a hobo with a WIDE BASE. I CONSIDER THIS BAG A LARGE BSG. MINIMAL HARDWARE IN THR BRUSHED GOLD FLORENTINE FASHION. I LOVE THE COLOR IVY WILL BEE NICE FOR THE FALL. SO I TRIED TAKING PICS AND VIDEO WITH MY META RAY- bans and I don like those results so bear with my pics here please. I resorted to tsking pics with my phone with the flash on. I’m sorry but the beautiful Ivy green color is not shown very well trust me it’s beautiful. I’ll try for mor pics in natural light in the day time. I’m very happy with this bag.im glad I chose the Ivy color it did ot vome with the paper that tells you how many were made. But it came with a sticker on the bag.my goodness I like this better than the small sloanbeacause of the opening and wider base on the Gracie. I had no hobos like this in my collection I am very pleased considering there were no pictures of the bag on site. I’ll move into it around my birthday. I guess I’ll unwrap it then. Of course I took
it out of the plastic to minspect and make sure it was a keeper and it is…….. .View recent photos.jpegphoto-375_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegphoto-380_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegphoto-383_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegphoto-394_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegphoto-394_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegphoto-388_singular_display_fullPicture.jpegIMG_8980.jpegIMG_8975.jpegphoto-388_singular_display_fullPicture.jpeg

Lisa Wallet - do bills fit?

I’m looking at purchasing Lisa wallet and have only seen 1 YT video where someone shows that it can fit US dollar bills (but it looked snug??) Can someone tell me if other currency bills fit without them being folded?

I’m in the US but sometimes travel to Europe, Japan and UK and I always bring cash. I have the Rosalie but find I want something a little bigger in size that can hold dollar bills better.

Small Perlee Hoop Earrings - are they heavy?

For anyone who has the small perlee hoop earrings, do you find them to feel heavy, or that they pull your earlobes down? I really love these earrings (only from pictures; haven't seen them in person), but I don't like to feel earrings when I am wearing them, and I don't like my earlobes to look saggy or like they're being pulled down LOL These earrings do look like they might be a little heavy, so I was curious to hear from anyone who actually owns and wears them!
