Scarves Scarf Decisions …..?

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I'm soliciting advice on my latest scarf purchase. I've been trying to decide on a neutral 140 shawl to wear with my mostly neutral wardrobe. I generally wear very little color outside of scarves (mostly ivory, navy, browns/camels, and the occasional burgundy or olive green), so I'd like a neutral shawl to add into the mix.

I was first inspired by @SilkCouture and her stunning styling of the Lettres Equestres shawl in the naturel/beige/rose poudre cw. i loved the soft colors of this one, and I think it's one of the few truly neutral shawls currently available, but I decided to return and think about it more because the pattern itself doesn't really excite me (although I can make the argument that color matters more than pattern...)

I was then heavily influenced by @LKBNOLA to try the Sous Le Charme D'Orphee shawl in the naturel / terracotta / marine cw. I love the whimsical pattern of this one, and I do love the overall color scheme, but I'm not sure if I think it's got too much orange to really get away with being neutral.

Thoughts? Opinions? I'm also wondering if I should wait to see if the elusive cw08 of the D'Orphee eventually makes an appearance (the tan/black/brown version), but that one looks quite a bit darker and I do love the light background of these two shawls.

As a bonus, though off-topic as it's not FW24, I did snag a pop-back of the On A Summer Day GT in navy. Love this one too but have to weigh the pros and cons with a Cheval Vague I just found on Fashionphile. Too many decisions

Want to turn Bulgari Rose Gold more yellow?

might be a bit off topic here but i was wondering if there's any way to actually make RG change colors (to become more YG-ish)?

i got the Serpenti necklace to match with my bracelet (in YG) back then, but had to go with RG since they didn't have the necklace in YG. They did release the YG version last year, but with price increases happening all the time, i just don't feel like it's a smart choice to pull the trigger and buy the same necklace just in a different color... or maybe i should just ignore the color differences? what do you all think?

42cm Trace Chain

Hi! Owners of the VCA 42cm trace chain, is the thickness and jump ring the same size as the chain on the sweet pendants? Is it difficult to get a trace chain? Currently it isn’t available for purchase on the website. I’m looking for a chain to wear with a diamond pendant but want to make sure the bail on the pendant is big enough for the VCA jump ring to go through. Thanks!

Bulgari fragrance thread

So exciting to have a Bulgari forum! I didn't see any threads about their fragrances so hoping no one minds if I start one. Are there any Bulgari fragrance lovers on here?
Their white tea cologne is one of my longtime favorites (Au The Blanc). It's so soft and yet also refreshing. Not a complex scent but more interesting to me than some of the other "clean" colognes out there. I also love that it comes in a lot of different kinds of scented products; the little scented towelettes are great for travel.

Exotic skin / alligator maintenance

I recently bought a new alligator wallet, and I have a question for owners of exotic leather products from Hermes about how they care for the exotics leather.
When I bought it, the wallet looked like the first photo – very shiny, with a glossy, lacquered surface.

But after just a few days of use, all the shine disappeared, and the surface became matte with marks from touching. Every touch leaves fingerprints, and in just a couple of days, the entire leather surface got smudged and now looks matte. Wiping it with a regular dry cloth has no effect, and as far as I understand, you can't clean this type of leather with water.

What products do you others use to restore the gloss and remove handprints?

Or is Hermès' idea to just leave the leather as it is and let it age naturally? I understand that bags can stay looking good for a long time since you can minimize contact with your hands, but with a wallet that you take out 10 times a day and constantly touch, there must be some way to clean the leather at home, right?

After two days, the wallet looks like this:

Shaking/crying/throwing up with joy - I found my holy grail Diorama!!

I am in disbelief!!! I’ve been wanting a navy blue Diorama ever since i got into handbags - a year after Dior broke my heart and discontinued this gorgeous bag. It had to be the medium size (so I could fit all my stuff in it) and it had to be blue. I always loved the versions with the perforated leather (the microcannage I think it’s called?) and the shiny patent finish but I would’ve settled for the smooth leather. I’ve been searching for three full years, trying to resign myself to the Caro or to just buy a Chanel instead; but I always held out… until today when I got the notification that THIS dropped at a local (trusted) reseller!! I checked the price against others selling on FP etc and it was a good 10-15% cheaper too (which would be way more inclusive of taxes etc!)

Aaaahhhh I can’t believe it! It’s in basically like-new condition, not a scuff on her on any corner! I can’t believe it!!! I’m going to chew my fingernails off waiting for her to come home

Help with Shoe Protector!

I recently took my new Kate’s to the cobbler to get a protective sole applied. However, when I went to pick them up, I was shocked to find that he had sanded down the soles and applied a non-scratch protector—gasp! Is that standard practice?

I was hoping for a removable red protector, so I’m a bit unsure about taking my other pair to him for protection. What do you usually do to protect your soles? I’d love any suggestions you might have!

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Bvlgari in action!

I can’t believe we finally have a sub-forum dedicated to Bvlgari.

Since I did not see a thread dedicated to Bvlgari action shots I am starting this one. Mods please feel free to delete or merge if you feel this is redundant!

Sharing a few of my action shots with my beloved Bvlgari pieces and looking forward to seeing everyone else’s pictures:heart:

in the last pic, the serpenti pendant is not mine. I just tried it on at the store!

Quality of Hardware Micro Link Gold Bracelet

Hi All! Haven’t purchased any Tiffany pieces in years but recently the hardware micro link bracelet in rose gold has caught my attention. I was wondering how the quality is specifically with the micro and how it holds up over time since it is a daintier piece. Anyone have issues with it?

Are the links solid gold or hollow with the micro model? Is it high shine and does it scratch/dent easily, especially if stacked with other bracelets and bangles? Thanks!

hair color question

my hair is mostly grey now and has been dyed auburn for several years. I've been having the hairdresser just do the roots and the ends are faded. now my ends in the back are pretty blonde. I'm trying to decide whether to have her run some color on parts of the ends. or have her add red lowlights. or go blonde. I probably don't have the courage to go light blonde. It would show grey regrowth less but it would be drastic and lifting all the color off might damage my hair. advice?
People think I'm a natural redhead as it goes with my pale Irish skin

Requesting opinions on JUC pendant necklace styles

Hi friends,
I would like to buy one of the JUC pendant necklace styles in yellow gold. A few months ago I tried on the version that is pave on one side and diamond accents on the other. I feel I would wear it on the accent side a lot more often, but the pave side might be nice for evening/special occasion. However, in the store lighting, which was very dim, I didn’t think the pave actually showed up as much as the plainer side. I’m wondering if I should go for the simpler version for 3k less. Could anyone who owns this necklace weigh in? TIA

Brand new scarf with pull? Need advice

It’s the second scarf that has this problem. The first also had. Is this a pull, or just some natural aspect of the silk? It is brand new, and sometimes I think it’s more visible just because the scarf is in light colour. In the last photo it’s more visible. Should I try to change it again? Or just stay with it? Thanks in advance.
