Noticed the very high prices on turquoise pieces. Why so high? Turquoise isn't super $$. Will they ever bring back turquoise?

Turquoise can be very costly, but they don't use the highest-grade turquoise. So I'm guessing the answer is profit.
I am wondering the same thing. My guess is it is high because it's supposed to be rare for VCA and discontinued (turquoise and gold combo). I would really like a piece but I get nervous paying such a high mark up for a piece that might not even be authentic bc it's second hand.

I have gotten my few turquoise pieces from trusted sources and as long as you do your due diligence and know the seller is reputable I would get if piece came available
I was told by the Dallas boutique that they can't source the stone, so they aren't making it now.
