I'm debating between the tan and black Julian fringe backpack for a trip to Europe in August. Thoughts?

I love the tan Julian! Something about it just fits with a trip to Europe. Black is such a somber colour, and I feel Europe is a colourful, lively place. That being said, if you're going to be using it a LOT, black may be the way to go so that you won't need to worry about the bag getting visibly soiled.
I agree about the tan being better for a summer trip in Europe, it can get pretty hot there. Do keep your valuables safely on your body elsewhere though if you go to touristy spots as pickpocketing is rife there and the Julian is easy to access.
Agree with the above! The tan has a more holiday to Europe feel to it.. but it may get stained or dirty more easily
Tan for me, too. I had the original tan Julian a long time ago and it held up really well. There were no stains on it.
