it looks fake. like something a counterfeiter would do to "improve" on the original style. i see fake bags sold on the sidewalk, sometimes they look fake, with a twist. maybe that way they can't be charged with fraud, even though huge fake labels are hanging off the bags.

I tried it once in NYC, was not fond of it at all. The outside zippered pockets are fabric, and not durable, and if you put anything in the pocket it would look like a lumpy Kelly - yech !
