[We Farm] Known Issues

Summary: A list of currently known issues affecting We Farm.
Last Updated 7/19

1. Gift Cart Issue: Occasionally when using the "Open All" feature in the Gift Cart, only a small number of Gifts will be rewarded to players while the remaining Gifts will become locked, even before the Gifting limit is reached. It is recommended that players do not use the "Open All" feature in the Gift Cart and open all Gifts manually to ensure that you are rewarded the correct number of Gifts.

2. Crashes on Earlier Generation Devices: We Farm is currently optimized for the latest Apple devices. If you are an owner of original iPhone, iPhone 3G or earlier generation of iPod Touch, you may experience unexpected crashing issues in We Farm. To prevent this, be sure to evenly distribute the items on your Farm across your Acreage as a memory limitation on earlier devices is the cause of these issues.

3. Missing Inventory Items: When placing a Limited Time item in your Inventory, upon exiting and restarting We Farm, the item will no longer appear in your Inventory. To recover the item, simply place any other item in your Storage. We are currently working on a solution to correct this.

Disclaimer: On July 15 we announced the end of regularly scheduled content releases for We Farm. We will, however, continue to support We Farm with server maintenance, content releases and events around holidays and other special occasions.

[We City] Known Issues

Summary: A list of known issues currently affecting We City.

1. Stuck in Tutorial State: Occasionally in We City, players will revert back to the tutorial state and will be unable to proceed. Should this happen, please fill out a support request at support.ngmoco.com and we will correct this issue for you.

2. Crash on Start Issues: There is a known issue where We City can crash upon start. This most commonly occurs with higher level players who control extremely busy Cities. To correct this issue, simply delete We City from your device and reinstall the app. All your progress will be saved.

3. Research Buildings No Longer Functional: Research Buildings have been removed from We City, though some long-time players will have them within their possession. These buildings are non-functional and while they can still be placed in your City, they ultimately serve no purpose.

Disclaimer: On July 15 we announced the end of regularly scheduled content releases for We City. We will, however, continue to support We City with server maintenance, content releases and events around holidays and other special occasions.

Summary: We wil be retiring some ngmoco:smile: games effective October 27, 2011

It's never an easy call to retire older games. However, on October 27, 2011, we will turn off several ngmoco:smile: games. Since they are server based games, when the servers are turned off the games will no longer be playable.

The following games will be retired on October 27, 2011:

We Doodle
Charadium
Star Wars: Imperial Academy
Touch Pets Dogs
Adventure Bay
We Bowl
Solitaire & Prizes
Blackjack & Prizes

We regularly evaluate all of our games against the following criteria and when they don't meet our standards, we initiate the retirement process:

  • Is the community of players growing or shrinking?
  • Can we increase the size of that community?
  • Does the return we are seeing on the game support the infrastructure and support costs?
  • Are the ngmoco:smile: employees tending the game happy and learning new skills?

The above titles have already been removed from the App Store and all new in-app purchases have been disabled. All previous in-app purchases will remain available. If you have already downloaded one of these games, you can continue to play until October 27, 2011.

We've put a lot of love into the retired games, and we hope you have taken an equal amount of enjoyment. Thank you for your time and support.

An important announcement regarding support of earlier generation Apple devices in We Rule 1.6.

With the long awaited release of We Rule 1.6 — a release which includes a Mojo Confirmation, a request frequently demanded by you, our players — we've finally come to a crossroads with the development of We Rule which requires us to drop official support for certain earlier generation devices.

Starting with We Rule 1.6, the following Apple devices will no longer be supported by ngmoco:smile:. You may still be able to play We Rule, but we cannot offer technical support or specific updates for the following devices:

iPhone
iPhone 3G
iPod Touch 1st Generation (All Models)
iPod Touch 2nd Generation (All Models)
iPod Touch 3rd Generation (8GB Model)

There are several reasons behind this decision. First and foremost, since these devices are no longer receiving iOS updates from Apple itself, compatibility naturally becomes a problem over time as we must develop with the latest version of Apple iOS in mind. Also paramount is the overall quality of We Rule, including its stability. In its current state, We Rule is essentially bound to the constraints of these older devices. By accepting the fact that we can no longer support these devices, our team can focus on new features for the 95% of players who play on newer generation devices.

We'd like to thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to bringing you fresh updates and improvements to We Rule. Also be sure to keep an eye out for a chance to win a We Rule branded 4th Generation iPod touch later this month!
