Question: is there a list somewhere of TPFer's shops? I'd like to support them if I can but I don't know any names. On the FB page, there is a file with names matched to shops.
Looked for the same thing here but no luck. Maybe it's not allowed? Anyway. Just wondering. :smile1:
No, it isn't allowed. Some tpfers use the same name on tpf as their shop.

Does the FB page show sellers that don't belong to the FB group?

I can see how someone would be surprised to learn a Copley is a Coach and not made by some premier brand like Hermes, but I can't imagine anyone every assuming it was a fake anything. It oozes quality!

It does! Quality and class! I also love how it doesn't scream the designer name. That SA was just too young to remember vintage Coach, and they probably aren't trained about them because they don't sell them.

I agree about the George Clooney thing, he reminds me of Cary Grant in that they both are very attractive and masculine looking but have zero sex appeal. They both seem asexual to me as if they were born in tuxedos.

Clooney isn't attractive to me at all cos I find him so arrogant and cocky. Cary Grant, on the other hand ... what a classy gentleman! Makes him very attractive in my eyes!

Who is your idea of a matinee idol?

I don't really watch movies that much anymore, so it's really hard for me to answer. I adored Jimmy Stewart. Such a sweetheart. His poem "Beau" about his dog gets me every time. :crybaby: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwGnCIdHQH0 Not sure if he would qualify as a matinee idol because he wasn't all that good looking, IMO. I just loved his personality. As mentioned above, Cary Grant is up there, too.

In high school in the early to mid-80s, I had a crush on Andrew McCarthy (Pretty In Pink, Mannequin, Weekend at Bernies). Especially as Blaine in Pretty In Pink. Swoon! Fave movie of all time! I wanted to be Molly Ringwald so badly. I'm the same age as she is, hence the "67" in my username. It's my birth year.

Right now, if I had to say who is very yummy eye candy it would be Anson Mount from Hell on Wheels. I always thought Johnny Depp was good looking because he was not a typical Hollywood heartthrob. I find Rupert Friend from Homeland really good looking too. And even now if I watch The Great Escape, I think Charles Bronson was the hottest ever - oh my!

I thought you all might like to meet Shirley Brown. She is a Coach Swag made in NYC and she just arrived at her new home today. I named her after one of my favorite aunts. I am so fortunate to have come across the listing on eBay. I gave her a quick conditioning and cleaned the inside edge of the top flap. She is in great condition and whoever owned her took very good care of her. I keep staring at her because I can hardly believe she's really mine. :-)

I honestly can't tell the difference between the Swag Bag, regular briefcase-type messenger bags and the Musette! When I scan through eBay or Etsy, they all look the same. I'm soooo out of the vintage Coach loop! I was totally unaware of them in the 80s and 90s. Dunno how in the world I missed them. Coach didn't cross my radar until the signature "C" styles came along. :shrugs:

She's gorgeous! Congratulations on such a huge find! :yahoo:

Never heard of Anson Mount or Hell on Wheels or Rupert Friend. Johnny Depp grosses me out. He needs a shower with a good hair wash and then a haircut. He looks like he would smell bad. Charles Bronson was meh. James Dean, on the other hand ... in a t-shirt and jeans? Yes please, and thank you. Whhyyyyy did he have to be such an idiot and drive his dang car so fast? Probably thought he was invincible.

I was carrying my Copley recently and the SA I was talking to gave me the impression that she thought it was fake. I showed her the creed and I think it just verified for her that it WAS a fake because it had a serial number. 'Cause everyone knows Coach purses don't have serial numbers. :graucho:She looked to be about 18.

too bad that businesses dont hire people these days who know their products and their jobs!

Completely green with envy over this beautiful bag! I would stare too! Congrats on finding her.

Just looking at photos, it is very hard to tell the differences. The Carrier, Musette, original Musette and the Swag are all related. The Carrier is huge, The Musette is the same longer shape like the Carrier but not as big. The Carriers have a zippered inside pocket and a full open pocket across the back (credit to Twotime bags for that), the Original Musette is much smaller than the others and it has square cut out suspender straps. The swag is 14 x 13 x 5 so large but not huge - smaller than a Carrier, shorter than a Musette but bigger than an original Musette. As soon as I get a chance and figure out where to do it, I will take a photo of all of them so everyone can see the differences.

If you not confused enough already, there is also the Organizer Pouch which has the twin gusseted pockets on the fronts, flat twin pockets on the inside right behind the outside ones and it is smaller than all of the others. It is also my absolute favorite bag of all because it's small enough for regular shopping where the Swag will work well for work.

Thanks, alansgail. It was pure, dumb luck that I found her. I do the search every single day and nothing ever came up. The day I got Shirley, I had done the search in the morning and nothing. For some reason unknown even to me, I listened to a little inner voice and ran it again and there she was. I was shaking when I saw her! I almost just bought her but then decided I should really look at the photos at least. I got shakier and had a hard time logging into PayPal - something I do all the time. I got it done though and as it happened, the bag was only about an hour from where I live so shipped on Tuesday and delivered on Thursday. I have been over the moon and doing the happy dance! :happydance:
