god, i have such a dirty mind. i see 'BJ' and immediately my brain goes straight to the gutter 
ahem... back to the subject of the thread. i don't believe in so-called rules about colours and seasons. white can be very wintery if done right, same goes for other colours. it all depends on the fabric, how you put an outfit together, etc...
i could see a fuchsia or cyclamen purse in winter against an all black or gray outfit, and a scarf that's not too pastel-ish or full of flowers that remind you of springtime, but rather more of a graphic design, maybe something with those colours but also lots of black?
