the grand hunt--help me find a bag that fits this profile!!!

I got this bag (Jack Georges Tiffany bag) at TJ Maxx on super clearance for an awesome $20!!! It was marked from $140 to $70 to $50 to $20. Mine is a pretty purple color that I haven't seen online. Online it goes for about $215, but I would have paid that for it. It is soft, smooth, sleek, pretty...it fits your budget, will hold magazines without folding,no logos, it has a nice outside pocket and inside pocket--not too big so stuff doesn't get lost. It's also light and durable. I've been using it as my travel carry on bag for work and I love it. You can see one here:

Do you have a TJMaxx, Nordstrom Rack, or Loehmann's near you? These stores tend to caryy most of the brands mentioned plus more at very good discounts sometimes. I would suggest you hit any one (or all 3!) of these and just try on a lot of bags to see what works best for you.
