Soft leather bags and rain???

I believe pebbled leather is already treated to be waterproof so I believe your bag should be fine. Smooth leather is more likely to get water spots. That said, it doesnt cost much to just pick up a waterproofing spray from the shoecare aisle and give it a good spray (I use Kiwi All-Protect). You'll be better protected against not just rain but also spills and food stains...

I agree. I'd treat that bag with a rain and stain repellent like Apple Garde. Even if it's not going to get damaged by rain, it's a very light color so I'd worry about it getting marks and possibly denim transfer. Nice bag BTW
