Slip pockets in nomad

While I love the nomad ( I added a hangtag from a legacy bag in whiskey) I find the slip pockets are too small! My iPhone is not the large one but with my case on its such a snug fit and a chore to get in and out.
I'm a bit disappointed that they would make them so small on a bag of that price.

It would but I like it being in the open pocket plus I have other stuff in the zipped pocket.

Ok, I guess I usually just use that pocket or put it in the bag itself.

I have an S5 & it fits. Snug but not so snug that I can't easily pull it out.

I do agree that the slip pockets are a snug fit for current smartphones, especially with a case on. I cannot fit my iPhone 6s (not plus) with its wallet case in there. I put it in the zip pocket, and put the other things I often put in zip pockets (makeup and keys, mainly) in small pouches that I can then put in the main compartment.

I have an IPhone 6+ with a slim case and it fits. It its snug but it fits. But I don't put anything in those front slip pockets. The bag "slouches" better with nothing in those pockets.
