Rugby league player carries opponent's embedded tooth for 15 weeks

My dad really enjoyed playing rugby (you know, other than the frequent broken noses).

How old's your son? I do think children or high school students playing rugby would be too dangerous. Maybe for now compromise and let him play football (at least there's helmets and padding) and visit the rugby issue in college.

*CORRECTION: My dad didn't get 'frequent broken noses' he had one broken nose (and the rest were just bloody noses).

Also, football is actually worse than rugby. Yes, there's padding, but because there's padding opponents are able to hit harder, knowing it won't affect the players externally. That leaves them at a greater risk for internal injuries, though.
