Repairing Your Mulberry

Thanks for this. Has anyone used the Furniture Clinic for restoring colour to an Spongy Oak Mulbery such as the Effie Tote? What's the success rate like? Thanks, M
Furniture clinic offer a colour match service for their polishes. I've used their coloured polish restoring a chocolate NVT bag, but would contact them directly to ask regarding spongy leather. I have found them to be extremely helpful.

Just received a phone call - my peeling red onion patent sbs was returned to store, and they said no further action due to the age. I'm gutted tbh  I noticed the peeling about a year ago and stopped wearing it as it had worried me, as didn't know bags could be assessed. Mulberry consists of the majority of my bag collection, but think I'll be straying to LV a lot more after this xx

Hi, I am new to Mulberry. My first bag is Tessie Satchel in oxblood which my husband bought for me during our trip to London in October last year. I love it, so I've been wearing it almost every weekend since then. Today, I took it out and I noticed some parts of the black lining (piping?) are peeling away/missing or just look shoddy. Is this normal, or should I try contacting Mulberry? Problem is, I don't live in the UK where it was bought.

Hi,

The sealant used on the edges of the leather is called "inking". It shouldn't be peeling on such a recently purchased bag. As you are not in the UK I suggest you contact Customer Services and take it from there. Contact details below:

Hi, thank you for the contact details. I have sent them an e-mail together with the pictures. Hopefully they get back to me soon and see what options do I have.

Hello, just wondering if anyone can help with a little inking problem on an Alexa in silky snake? The inking has broken down on the handle, about 3-4 ins in the centre on both sides. (WouId the whole of the handle have to be done?) I have been in touch with a local repair specialist and have been quoted an estimate of £60 to do the work. Does this seem reasonable? (I have no idea what the quality of their work is like unfortunately) Does anyone know roughly what Mulberry charge for this kind of repair? I have contacted them about it but have been waiting ages for a response and I am keen to get the work done quickly.

Any assistance here would be much appreciated if anyone has had a similar problem.....

Many thanks

Sorry to hear that, have you thought about calling in a Mulberry store or outlet?
They may advice, I would be weary of getting it repaired anywhere else ...

It would be cheaper to go with Mulberry, I had an alexa re-inked a two years ago and it cost £25 + VAT to do the whole bag. I don't think it would be that much more than this now.

Call customer repairs directly, they will give you an approximate price, then once you post the bag to you will confirm an exact price before commencing the work.
