Thanks everyone for your support. I woke up today and was still bummed. I called Artbag in NY, they sounded somewhat positive about it, but no estimate until they have the bag in hand.

Looking at it this morning, I think it is worn. I can't believe just hanging on a chair over a course of a dinner would do it to this bag. I'm just glad that it was on the backside than the front.

Here are some pics, but as you can see, it is pretty bad. The close up isn't as clear because of the darn flash. This b-bag is turning out to cost a pretty penny!

OMG! BL I am sending you HUGE hugs! Is there a leather specialist near you that you can take the bag to??? You never know, they just might have a solution.

^^^ I hope so too. Right now, I'm beginning to think that it got worn, so I'm not sure if they will patch dye it or not... I wonder if it'll be worse or better if they do that. Hopefully, it's just something that can come out rather easily or something like that.

i am so so sorry. it really is upsetting!! i recently had an incident with one of my bags that is keeping me up at night.. so I know exactly how you feel. Only, i was something i did to my bag. i was carrying apple guard leather cleaner , of all things in my bag cause i got it delivered to work and was bringing it home. the bottle sort of leaked a little and came threw the bag to the outside. Its a black bag, but it sort of hardened where the cleaner soaked into the leather. its freaking me out. i am so angry at myself. so i put it away, cant look at it right now. I will take it up to artbag... but i am sure they will say.. "lady, you are a total freak" its really not a big deal on my bag, but is on the front. i dont like it. I know exactly how you feel. I like them to be perfect. but life is not perfect.

see what artbag can do. if they cant fix it... at least it is on the back. I try to tell myself that its sort of like getting a scratch in a new car. I am sure you will figure out a way to make this bag still work.. boo boos and all.

^^ Toni! I am so sorry to hear about your bag too! I don't think that Artbag will say that to you. When I talked to the guy there, he seemed very calm (compared to my freak-ness) and understanding. I like my bags perfect too and I take very good care of them. Inspect them frequently. I am shipping my baby today, so hopefully, I will know in a few days what (if any) they can do.

My hubby was very understanding too. He said the same thing as you did. It's like getting a giant ding in your brand new car. It's so true. If it bothers you that much, I would also take yours in too. In the end, it's how you feel about your bag that matters the most. I just can't stand it when it's not perfect or close to perfect even after used.

This is enough to almost make me swear off B-bag metallics entirely.

it seems we are very much alike when it comes to the condition of our bags! Some girls are so much more relaxed.. i try to be, but i like them perfect. I guess its why I am good at what i do for a living. I work in fashion advertising retouching. I make things perfect all day! I showed my boo boo bag to my husband, and he was like," where is this spot?" he could not see the spot. Its more of a textural thing on my bag. I have to take another bag up there to artbag this weekend.. some fraying on an 04 city... I also want to see Artbag in person.. so i will bring the other one as well.. see what they think.

Sometimes I think these things are best in the hands of professionals. I get so emotional and try to fix it myself, i may rub it to death and make it much worse. :sad:

please let me know how it goes.. our bags will at least be together in Artbag, so they wont get lonely!

^^^ That is so true!!! My hubby was saying that about me too! He said that I will try to clean it until it's completely worse or it's perfect. Can we say OCD?

Are you in NY? I need to mail mine since I'm out here in San Diego. I wonder what our poor little B-bags would chat about. ;)

^^yes. i am in NY. i live in in the Gramercy area. Definitely call art bag and get their address. They moved.. and i did a google search recently, and came up with their old address, so confirm with them the correct address before you mail it!:biggrin:
