I really like the Birkin bag, but I noticed in some pics that there is a front flap, and in some there is none, but they are the same bag? Do you fold it back somewhere? Pin it down? Or are they even the same Birkins? Sorry if this is stupid... I'm a Balenciaga/LV person.

Hi meggie, yes, it is usually folded down and tucked in. For most, it is usually too cumbersome to be dealing with it and the strap closures otherwise.

Most people open the bag and let the flap stay inside the bag. Closing a Birkin is quite a process, much more time consuming than closing a Kelly. Many like the casual, tote look of letting the flap stay inside the Birkin.
