love them! so is it about 0.41 for each earring? they look like a real good size!
yes, they are about 0.41 each.
I can't believe I originally wanted to go for 0.33 TOTAL carat weight. It is probably a good idea to sleep over this decision 365 nights. Because if you buy to small it might not work out right in the long term.
The size is right - they pop out but don't cause any stirs at the office, what I like!

That's perfect! I agree with sleeping over this... diamond and gold prices are constantly on the rise and I've been really wanting diamond studs for my 30th birthday at the end of this year, so this is something I've been thinking A LOT about :graucho: I want something of a good size that I can wear for awhile... I was thinking at first 1 carat total but I feel like going bigger. However, as you go bigger, prices go up exponentially as well! what to do, what to do...

Hi again!
Long time no read.

I am still very happy with my bezel pair.

I admit, I never buried the idea a pair of prong studs.
Now seems to be the right time!

This week I found a pair of prong studs, 0.7tcw sitting in the shop window of a well known pawn shop in Vienna, for 700$. Now I I checked Blue Nile for comparison: Blue Nile sells this size/quality of prong studs for ca 1350$.

Since Blue Nile is already a bargain (compared to other stores), those 700 $ are a real bargain.

I will go and check the details. As far as I could tell through the glass window, the cut is excellent. You know the feeling, when you look at diamonds and can't help but smile. Doesn't happen with all stones.

Well this WAS fast!

In the box you see my old studs, YG, bezel-setting (2011) and the new prong-studs. The new pair to the right did cost 1/5 of the prize I paid for the bezel pair.
I am astonished, that I could close this remaining gap so smoothly.
