It's the same material as the stripe on the normal Signature Stripe items-- Jacquard fabric. It's not shiny at all. It's gorgeous!

I caved - I went to the store this p.m. with my daughter and bought the demi and the mini skinny to use as a "wallet" with it. I loved the multi stripe zipper wallet, but it was about the same price as the demi purse and skinny. It is really, really cute in person - very summery!
