Hi, I'm looking to try and buy an MG bucket when the site stocks again. Would you recommend the mini or large bucket for someone who is 5'4"? I don't want it to overwhelm my frame! Thank you in advance

I think he Mini is large enough for most people unless you carry a lot. I'm 5'7" and carry one, but I admittedly like the large for work days, so I can fill it up.

There is a great modeling shot for comparison in our original thread. I will try to find it.

Here is a side by side comparison of the two sizes (not modeled) thanks to PinkPeonies

I am not petite, but I'm 5'5". The large seemed big when I first got it but now that I've used it, I love the size and I don't think it looks huge on me. If I was running errands or something like that, I would want a smaller bag.

I felt like the reg was really big until I started using it too. It flattens a little with wear which helps.

I'm around 5'3" and I find that the mini is perfect for my size and its big enough to carry the essentials. I think if you don't often carry too many items then definitely get the mini as your first bucket, its much more comfortable to carry around than the regular which I find abit big for my frame.

I'm 5'3" and have both sizes. I like the mini when I'm carrying less, but the large is my go to bag (especially since I'm usually carrying stuff for my daughter too). I personally like the look of a large bag on a petite frame, but it's personal. And I do agree that with wear the bucket will sort of flatten/mold to your side which makes it less overwhelming. Check out the "what's inside your MG" thread to see how much you can for in these - it might help you decide how much bucket you want/need ;)
And here's a pic of me with the regular bucket: http://forum.purseblog.com/mansur-gavriel/mansur-gavriel-mod-shot-thread-886020-11.html#post28539275

LOL! I have the opposite problem!
I'm 5'10" so the large looks good but I'm considering getting the mini to go out at night with.
With the new mini bag craze going strong I think I can pull it off.
If you feel comfortable and the bag meets your needs I think anything goes.....................

With a height of 5''7 and a preference for larger bags I thought I would definitely pass the mini. But yesterday I could get my hands on two Canvas Buckets in the same color in regular and mini: Surprisingly I went home with the mini.

I am still interested in a regular one but the mini was much more appealing than expected. I think it works well also for taller women.

I'm 5"3 (on a good day) and have a large bucket. I got that size to carry my work essentials (book, water bottle, umbrella when necessary + the "essentials") but definitely feel like it's too awkward for my frame sometimes. It's great when I need to carry a lot but can feel really bulky when I'm taking just the essentials. If I could get a do-over I'd probably get the mini.
