Was the cost to repair w them high? I’ve heard so many different things like, they will repair for free for certain things, but also, they charge an arm & leg to get some repairs done & you may as well buy a new bag?

Yes-I just had the lining and top binding replaced on a used bucket GM. Was all done via the LV app (submit repair request and photos), then a follow up phone call appt to review the estimated cost to repair. Mail the item in, and the whole process is tracked in the app. It was very easy. Bag came back in a Louis Vuitton box and dust bag like it was a new purchase.

I recently purchased a Stephen bag from TRR (btw....Love It!). Anyway, the bag is a monogram canvas w/vachetta. Somehow, some minutely small drips of paint showed up on it. One or two on the leather and six on the canvas. Again, VERY small drops, barely able to see them, but I want to get them off. Don't know what to use that is SAFE and will not ruin the canvas or leather. It didn't come that way from TRR. I checked it carefully. This happened at my home.

Hi does anyone know how much it costs to just replace the zipper pulls in a speedy? I bought mine preloved and there is some chipping on them. Also, is this done in store anymore? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone ! Hope you are all good
I was wondering if someone new the approximate price of the leather replacement inside a Nice from Louis Vuitton ? I don't see anything online for this. My LV store is pretty far ...

Thank you for any help !

Hey ! Don't know id anyone was able to reply but in Paris it's 25€ done in store
Hi thank you! So funny - I just got it back. They had to ship it out but it was complimentary and took 2 weeks here in the US. I love it. I swear they replaced my zipper too. I know that sounds crazy but it looks brand new unless they just cleaned it up nice or perhaps my memory of its condition mistakes me lol! Either way - I’m so happy to have it back!

Hi! I have been referencing this thread for a while because I had a few LV repairs that I wanted to get sorted. I just wanted to add my experience with my issues.

I first made an appointment in the Rive Gauche store in Paris when I was there recently, and that was a terrible experience. I live in Portugal, (and not close to Lisbon-) and I was visiting a friend in Paris so I thought it would be efficient to just drop it off. I used to live in Paris and the Rive Gauche store was always my favorite and so friendly. Not this time. I waited an hour and was completely ignored while other people with no appointments were being served drinks and attended to. So i left.

I then contacted LV through the website, and was connected to an after care specialist in Lisboa.

After I submitted photos of the issues, she gave approval to send them in for evaluation.

I have a Cruise (2013?) Damier Colour Modul in Carmine that I bought resale, but the edging was sticky and like a putty. It transferred onto clothing, was mushy, and left marks on the bag itself. It was a mess, and I was really hoping it could be re-edged and cleaned up. It was a dream bag for me for many years after I passed up buying it when it was released.

My other issues were small- the leather came off of the snap of a Sarah wallet. That seems to be a known issue.

THe last thing was a pochette strap that was delaminated and the leather splitting.

I just got confirmation yesterday that the snap would be replaced for a fee of €65 with a turnaround of 6-8 weeks.
The strap would be replaced with no charge, and the Modul was deemed a "defective product" and I would be receiving an LV credit voucher for €1100 to be used within one year of issue.

On one hand I was a little bummed that my bag could not be salvaged and repaired, but on the other hand the credit offered was very fair- even generous?

I am happy I sent everything in, and I hope the better service continues to complete these repairs. So what should i use my credit on? ;)

I'm mostly a resale girlie, and all of my wishlist LVs are no longer for sale- the only new piece I've ever bought was my Keepall..

I hope this helps someone!
