Is it too soon to ask for verdicts on '07 leather?

i saw 4 07 bags at my local shop and i didn't like the leather. VERY stiff (though that goes away quickly) and dry leather. but the sample size its small so this might not be represetative of the 07 batch as a whole

Is grenat and Bordeaux the same thing as well?

No. Bordeaux is a color from prefall 05. Bordeaux has slight plum/purple undertones where grenat has brownish/brick undertones. I prefer the bordeaux.

Also, I am wondering if the leather variations in the bags these last two seasons has been intentional. There are some people (albeit, not as many), that love the veiny look while others prefer a more smooth, squishy bag. This way, they can cater to both types.

Well...I went to Holt's today and they had the Brief in the dark brown (Cafe?), the French Blue and the Grass Green. I did NOT like the leather that I saw. I found it exactly like the '06 leather I didn't like, with the uber-shininess and dry feeling. I could see it softening up with use, though, and from what I'm hearing the leather is as varied in texture as last season. I realy must say it felt stiff and dry and I was not impressed. Then again, Holt's seems to get the cast-offs anyway

I saw a giant cafe city... and the leather was 'ok'. No way near the leather on my rouge VIF. The hardware? YUCK!
