Congrats Iris on your new purchases. You're on the right track. The black classic flap is timeless and classic. The GST is also wonderful. I haven't decided whether to add it to my collection because of its size. I'm thinking I may get the petite shopping tote instead as I'm 5'4. Enjoy your new babies...I'm sure you'll be back for more :smile:

If I had to choose 2 bags in my collection that are my must-haves, it would be the black classic flap and the GST!!! You could not have chosen 2 better bags to start your collection. You will get alot of use out of them and they will last you for many years. Great choice and congrats!

I am happy that the two-hour trip to SF really is worth it:sweatdrop: . I cannot tell how disappointed I was yesterday when the NM lady told me the black caviar classic was just sold out these two days and she could not find more in any stores:shrugs: . Anyway, I made it. :P

NM in Stanford Shopping Center had three pink caviar flaps on Thursday, not sure now...

They had the last black lambskin flat at that time also...

If you are living in SF bay area, you could also check SF boutique and SF NM...

BTW, when unwrapped my caviar flap, it with the price tag $1995 already, just waiting for Feb 1 <img> ...

I haven't tried to post pic here, it is the exact same one that PinkPiana has.<img>

Iris, those are the best choices you could make! As far as the classic caviar flap is concerned, did you get the medium or the jumbo? the jumbo which is now $1695 (which i just got in winter white), will be $2295 as of Feb. 1...........a $600 jump...SCARY
i just know then, that the medium one will be increased comparably

you did great! and i can totally relate to not being able to sleep re:Chanel dream bag not being available....we get that way :graucho: :hysteric:

ohhh and as far as buying ourselves presents in advance, i am already rationalizing the baby animal bag (when it comes out) for my 70th birthday lol
