Gerard Darel 24 hour bag for plane flight/trip... what do you think?

I'm going skiing this weekend and I'm thinking the Gerard Darel may be my bag of choice on this trip. I can't bring myself to take the super $ bags, but I still want one that's fashionable. Do you think it will be comfy on the flight and hold up well? Does it have the dressy and/or casual versatility? Still not 100% sure, I always overanalyze these things ush:

DH wishes I'd spend less time bag analyzing and more time packing. oops.

The GD is a very good choice! I really like mine....the only issue for me is it is somewhat difficult to wear on your shoulder, particularly so with a coat on.....but comfy, wears well, smooshable and will fit all your basics. If you really want more of a carryon, I suggest the 36 heurre size

Great choice! I always use my GD for travel because it's really durable and I don't have to worry about it too much. It's super comfortable to wear and fits over my shoulder perfectly. I also think it's very versatile and easy to dress up or down
