Found a Chloe Elvire at Saks NYC- but they wont sell it to me-Bah!

I was trying to buy this bag at 11:54 EST on the website but it disappeared out of my cart at midnight, so I finally tracked one down at Saks NY with the help of the online CS reps. I called and the SA said we have it, but one of the other SA's is hoarding the Chloes so I can't sell it to you. It'll probably be on ebay soon at full price...

Why is she hoarding all the Chloes??--for customers, the possibility to sell to a customer, or for herself?? Is it possible to call back in hopes you get the other SA that's hoarding the Chloe's??
If she just has them put back, I would think that's a no-no unless they are on hold for a customer or a pre-sale, etc.
