WHEN it comes to fashion, smaller sizes are normally the most desired.
But in the world of celebrities accessories, it seems bigger is now better.
Katie Holmes, Pamela And­er­son and Victoria Beckham have all super-sized their hand­bags of late, swopping their usual carriers for huge ­­­­Her­mes travel holdalls.
It led to one wag wondering if Ms Holmes carries pint-sized hus­­band Tom Cruise or their daughter Suri around in hers.
All three women have been spotted carrying the Hermes HAC bag, originally in­tended for over­night travel rather than as day use.
Still, starting at about £5,000 each and with a waiting list stretching to years, it seems the ladies just want to get their moneys worth.
The HAC, or to give it its full name the Haut A Courroies, is one of fashion house Hermess oldest designs.
Its classic, boxy shape was the original inspiration for the firms smaller Birkin bag, named after British actress Jane Birkin.
The huge bags are said to be gaining popularity thanks to the optical illusion that makes anyone who carries one look tiny.
