Thanks, annie9999. I do like carrying it - love the shape, how much you can put in the bag, and the versatility of it being both a satchel and, if needed, a tote. And maybe, just maybe, the fact that it is three colours will keep me from wanting a red montaigne, too!

i just got into this thread again and happie to learn that mistikat has decided to keep the montaigne 
it is a beauty and like many others who have said before me, it is the distressed look that makes it unique (and makes it more difficult to imitate!). i am sure you will grow to love it more and more as time passes by....

Thanks, kopibaby! I have been alternating between the studded smooth leather maxi Veneta and the Montaigne. LOVE both bags. And now that I've seen the clever little organizing that people have done with their Montaignes, I want to look for some little bags I can use to do the same thing. Sure beats rummaging around for stuff - and will prevent the inside from getting too dirty, I hope!
