Also re: some pleats being "tighter" than others. My SA from France tells me that the difference is actually in the finish on the scarf. Some years, the finish was more conducive to holding pleats tight. Other years, the finish was softer.

Good question! I think it depends on your personal style. Loose definitely shows the design better. I think most of the modern scarves have a relatively soft finish, and the plisses aren't as springy as in years past.
I remember one year when Hermes experimented with Teflon in the finish! I have a scarf from that year that is still stiff as cardboard. It was my long time Grail scarf, so I don't think I'll ever part with it (Concerto in royal blue).

I was outbid on an Hermes Annie Faivre plisse scarf and can't stop thinking about it! It's absolutely gorgeous. It's the Annie Faivre 'Art des Steppes' in a mustard colour with jewel tones of rich blues, greens and burgundy. Does anyone have any information about this scarf? Are there any Hermes stores that still sell it? I have googled it but cannot find it anywhere on the internet. Where can I buy it from? *desperate*!

I'm a huge fan of the plissés. My favorite in my collection is "Passementeries", in black. I wear it all the time; It goes with so much.

Hi yes I saw it it's lovely but blue isn't my colour. I love the colour of passementeries, what's the design? And in some good news the original buyer didn't want the scarf anymore so I get it instead! Yay!
