I absolutely LOVE this thread!!! A gal like me cannot shake her dreams of owning a true pair of Loubis...
But...
Is it a good value to pay more than the original sale price for shoes that have been worn already? I see a lot of that on eBay.

I find the SAs from different stores lie to each other so they don't loose a shoe/potential sale. I end up doing the leg-work myself.

So bummed. I finally bid & won a pair of fabulous Pigalles and paid right away. The Seller refunded my money saying she didn't mean to sell them for so little (wasn't cheap by any stretch, same as a similar pair had just gone for). Ebay can put a strike against her account, basically a slap on the wrist, but they can't make her ship them. What a crock. I've had items sell for less than I wanted, but I still went ahead with the sale instead of breaking the rules and disappointing the winner.

So sorry this happened to you. :hugs: Some people could care less about the rules, nor disappointing their buyers. This is why RESERVE exists, people! But they want it both ways and they get away with it.

I've recently deal with a seller who refuses to sell because her shoes only reached $300 (both times!). Yet, she keeps relisting at the same amount without a reserve and demands "I'm not taking any less than $450". Luckily, I wasn't the winning bidder and will make sure to stay far, far away from this mess.
